No, this is an Australian company. High Performance Coatings. http://www.hpcoatings.com.au/

They do look quite similar. Looking at the FVD site, their exhausts are made by M&M Exhaust GmbH. I think Cargraphic make their own, so I guess the designs are just really similar?

For the record, I have FVD sport headers on my car, but have ordered the Cargraphic race headers in the group buy and will get them on the car later this summer.

I like the way the three tubes merge into the plenum at the front of the converter. Looks to me like it spreads the exhaust over more of the face of the converter core, keeping heat more even and possibly reducing back pressure. This may reduce chances of the core overheating and melting under extended track conditions.

Other company's headers merge into a single flow in a standard collector design before the exhaust enters the plenum and this may concentrate the heat in the center of the core and possibly slightly increasing back pressure, robbing a few HP.

Finally, I my (failed) prior sport headers were completely coated and wrapped and the converter melted after four hard days at the track and about 20 trips down the drag strip. It created incredibly low oil temperatures, almost too low for a northern winter climate, the car ran 100F + ambient at steady 70 MPH on the interstate.

For the replacement headers, I had the center cans of the converters masked off so they could radiate heat and not melt the converter cores. This raised my track oil temperature about 10F, but it is still much lower than it was stock. I came off the track at Mid-Ohio running about 210F when the ambient temperature was in the high 80s.

The FVDs are fine. Right now, I really can't say much other than I am at 6+ days at Mid-Ohio and they are still working fine. As people have said above, the FVDs look a lot like the Cargraphics.

I hope to get a dyno run soon to see how the FVD compares to my older headers and then later, to race headers.

Glad this worked out for everybody. I missed this time around (ironically) but am hoping to get a set of the catted headers installed on my car at some point.

Not yet....I keep going back and forth if I want to swain or ceramic coat them. I gotta take them off once a year to get smogged so I can do that then if I want later.

I just pinged Cargraphic in Germany for an update. I know you folks are getting anxious and all i can say is that we appreciate your patience and to just hold on a bit longer. The order was so large that it was essentially a scratch order. All i can tell you is that you won't be disappointed. I know it's summer and you guys want parts so i am empathetic and i am doing everything i can to move them along. Once ready, it should be about 72 hours to your door. Please sit tight. Thanks.
