Default The first GT4 in North America

Long time customer of ours got sick of waiting and decided to have his GT4 airlifted across the pond as soon as it was finished. It is in the showroom now for the next few hours. Enjoy.

Exhaust rev video (vehicle was properly warmed up first)

Nice.

For those getting their cars I'd love to see the U.S. manual and warrantee. I haven't seen one posted to check assumptions against what we actually got, or if I've missed it someplace I'd appreciate a link.

Thanks for posting.
Let me be the first to say that this car has the wrong seats in it! Just look at how these seats present the interior of the car and compare them to the launch cars. It's day and night! There's no way I'll take delivery of this car without LWBs!

Having recently driven the 991 GT3 with 18 ways on the track,I can honestly say that they suck!

Hopefully the owner is on these boards, or else OP can you take a look at the manual? I'd like to know if the recommended break-in period is the regular 3000 miles (that will take forever in this car....) and also whether there's any mention of slick tires voiding the warranty.

What was the thought behind painting the center console trim but not the rest of the trim? Not knocking it...just wondering.

Congrats on the car!

Congrats on the car!
If I had to guess, it would be because RY is a very bright color, and therefore having it all over your dash and doors might be a bit much, whereas just putting it on the center console gives you a little flair without it being all over the place and in your face. Yellow trim on the doors immediately above yellow door pulls might have looked a bit much too. I wouldn't have expected this spec to work, but it does.

I also kind of like the illuminated door sills. Not sure I $800-ish like them, and I'm wondering if a luxury item like that would clash with an interior that has the all-business LWBs. Saw illuminated sills on my friend's R8 and kind of liked them, but on a car like a GT4, part of me thinks that rather than grinning every time I see them, I might just roll my eyes at that sort of gratuitous glitz on such a focused car. But now I'm trying to find a shot from a similar outdoor angle of a GT4 that has the standard sills just for comparison. The ones I've found so far are either close-ups of the sill or have bright reflections that make it difficult to get a good comparison. I kind of wish it were possible to get the wider aluminum plate on the sills without lighting, since I think that's the design change that appeals to me more about that option. Then again, the standard sills will undoubtedly hide the inevitable dirt and scuffing better....

Interesting. Not sure Id have red washer nipples specced on my GT4 and the yellow stitching on the dash is going to reflect badly in the window-screen IMO. As for the sports seats a few in my run group have them in their GT3 and frankly they dont seem to slow them down any, although I have the buckets and confess the 918 syle LWB definitely look more pleasing in the car...

Also whats with the US having a different rear bumper with that ugly plate surround intrusion! Why cant you just have a Euro style bumper like we do in NZ (we use the US size plate here too)...

lol, I've never seen so many comments on (f-ing) seats. Spec'd mine with 2 ways from the beginning, before LWB Gate. Seats are not that big of a deal... of course Labowski might say the same thing to me. Clearly this guy is a 918 owner since he was first and has experience with the LWBs, he spec'd these instead.
