718 GT4?

Again, what purpose would there be for testing a winged 718 other than the GT4? There are no other new 718 Cayman variants coming. Also, that exhaust doesn't appear on any of the 718s.
This is obviously a GT4 mule and it's not at all surprising that a pic was caught, particularly because it doesn't appear to be 'out in the open' so to speak. Given all the Porsches around it, I'm guessing it's a street at/right next to the factory.

It would appear that your definition of a GT4 mule and mine differ.
I'm saying this is a 718 build mule, converted with some GT4 parts for testing (it started it's life as a 718 mule, hence Euro4). You are saying this is a GT mule, which implies it is a proto GT4 (one off build as production has not started).
Remember folks those plates have been on this car since 2015... lol calm down
As for the pics... they are all over the German forums, and nobody but shockwave seems to have been asked a thing.
Like I've said, I'm local to the ring and my car is serviced at Manthey... I'm not going to say more... lol

I'm not saying that at all, as it's entirely likely that the GT4 is going to share most body parts with the 718 Cayman, save for the aero. I'm saying it's extremely unlikely that they went to the trouble of building that car, with that aero, those brakes and that exhaust, without likely having the GT4 engine in it as well. Every piece of visible evidence save for the front bumper says GT4. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, I don't why you'd conclude it was a blue jay. Again, if this was just an aero mule, why would there be a different exhaust on the car?

Again, this particular car was built in 2015. It's clearly not a blue jay, its more Chimera. And for that reason just a parts testing car, not a GT4 proto.
Also, exhaust, brakes, ride height... all have an effect on the aero.
