Oil level won't display - "no info available..." ???
Was at Mid-OH for two days. Middle of first day I go to check oil. In garage which is level, car was hot. I get message stating "no info is available at this time".
Tried several times - no luck.
Let car cool down a bit. Same issue.
Drive to town, get gas - check at gas station (temps are back up to hot) and it reads down 3 bars (oil level ok).
Another track session - check oil again, down 2 bars this time (oil level ok). I know heat will affect the level.
We just had the same problem in the GT3RS after a two day road trip. Oil is still not reading and will not display after trying for two days to get a reading. It's a well established problem in the 991 GT3/RS community (found a couple threads in my first search attempt).
For GT4 I searched a couple times but didn't find anything specific to the car not giving an oil consumption reading.
Service Manager said the system is very finicky (in respect to both cars). Anyone else ask for a reading?

Not that it answers the OP's question, but I recently discovered that any time the hatch (Cayman) or trunk lid (Boxster) is opened for more than 45 seconds, the system will assume you have added oil and the oil level check/report cycle will display "no information available" until several conditions are met. I think I have those conditions in a 981/991 Porsche sales rep training manual, but I don't have access to it right now. Depends on oil temp, g-forces, and some other parameters I think.

In both cases (RS and GT4) no hatches, trunk lid or car door was open or even recently opened. In both cases / tried checking after driving about 30 min before getting out of car and got the error message multiple times. I'll try the suggested fixes and see if that helps.

For some reason PAG has decide we are incapable of reading the oil level on a dipstick. I realize it probably ties to the electronics but it would be nice to have a real dipstick. Maybe a $200 option. I'd check the box.

Yeah, this problem drives me nuts. It recently occurred after the GT4 sat nearly 2 months while I drove my 1994 911. Never fails to occur when I change oil. Add the first 7 or so quarts and you can't get a reading. Makes it impossible to quickly top off appropriately and also leaves you without full confidence you added enough oil..

Our 2004 SL55AMG had electronic oil sensors. It gave a false reading once and we lost faith. We knew all the service techs used dipsticks, so we had our tech order one for us. Problem solved.
I would add dipstick and parking brake as two things that are better the "old fashioned way".
Bringing the RS in tomorrow to have it checked for faults and for tech to confirm oil level is ok.

I try to check the oil level frequently as the car is tracked and I like to keep the level at max. There seems to be no consistency as to whether I'll get a reading or not. I've monitored oil and water temps and it doesn't seem to make much difference. I've read that the Clubsport changed the scale to allow overfilling. When in doubt, I add oil.

I was watching my tech change the oil in my GT4, and after refilling the car, he let it sit there and idle for about 15-20 min before topping it off. He said it takes that long and sometimes longer for the reading to show up.
He did the same thing on a Macan S, prior to servicing my car.
A simple dipstick is so much better....

My wife and I recently drove to see a friend in Boston. My experience had always been that once the car was warmed up, it would show the oil level reading. However, as we were heading out of town, I tried several times to read the oil level and got that "no info available" message every time. Stopped for coffee, restart car, same problem. Then we crossed the border into the US. I changed my speedo readout from KM to Miles, and PRESTO, the oil measurement worked.
When leaving Boston to drive back to Toronto, I had the problem come back. Changed the speedo back from Miles to KM, and BOOM, back comes the oil measurement. If anyone else has the problem, give this a try. My guess is that changing the units of measurement somehow resets the oil measurement. I'm guessing weird programming bug.
