For manual tranny, they have an extension which moves the phone to the right.

Thus the use of a ziptie. (also for track days)

Why not just put the phone in that pocket on the door below the speaker ?

I also have a T-design. Works well. http://t-design9.com/

Use a RAM windshield sucker for track with the four rubber mounts (squeeze them and it opens).

I use the Rennline console mount. Had one in my 991.2 as well. Easy to install and works great. It's this one:

For the magnetic phone mounts - I truly believe we have the best solution. Why?
1) We make the whole thing in-house from scratch, and do NOT use generic magnetic pads with tiny magnets. We make our own, with custom magnets (set in epoxy, to not rip through the mount. Plus we use very grippy front surface
2) That allows for not just center mounted metal pad, but you can also mount the metal part on the bottom, so to not interfere with wireless charging circuit that most phones have now in the center of the phone!
3) All that applies to very spirited driving that we all love

Nobody else has it. Please give it a try!

We also have charging version. Nice, clean, simple looking. You can't even see the wires! And the whole device is the size of the credit card. Designed from scratch for Porsche cars and spirited driving.

In my pocket.
The phone communicates with the head unit wirelessly via CarPlay.
