Default GT4 Value

hello everyone,

Im considering buying a GT4. Where do you think the price is headed for used ones? with under 8-10k miles.

Post your thoughts on if you think they will dip under $100k or will they always hover around just above $100k even used.

Anyone think they will touch $80k?

Basically I am wondering if I should go out and get one today or if its worth it to wait a few months to a year or so.

Thank you, Cam

Interesting question...
Logic would tell me that they would drop, but who knows...
So many new cars, not just Porsche, are selling at a premium these days...tough to say.
I remember when the Ford GT came out back in 2005...they were hot, then they sere selling a little below sticker, now they're crazy.
You would think they will drop at some point...depends a lot on what come next

Look in the GT4 forum. There are long threads on pricing.

No one can predict the future. While waiting, how many months of enjoyment are you willing to sacrifice?

This is a reasonable point, but the answer to that depends on the financial commitment of the buyer. You could argue that by waiting, you aren't sacrificing enjoyment, but rather just delaying it. Also, what else might you be sacrificing by paying a $30,000 premium?
Great car, no doubt, but paying that kind of premium is tough to swallow for some.

This is being discussed and tracked in the GT4 Forum.

https://rennlist.com/forums/gt4/9524...t4-prices.html

Short answer: Winter is coming! That seems to be putting more cars in the market than just 4 weeks ago (fact); asking price isn't reflecting this just yet (probably fact, but not re-evaluated in 2 weeks) and cars are sitting longer (anecdotal), but you can find sub 100k cars from private sellers (lightly optioned) and I have yet to see one from a dealer sub 100k

My guess: Prices will come down by 5% o rmore by December.

Not sure from where you got your data, but according to GMaki's GT4 database (https://rennlist.com/forums/gt4/8852...-database.html AND https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...#gid=251833504), fewer than 2,400 are expected to be imported into the US and Canada.

Also, GT4 MSRPs range from ~$85k to ~$127k, with the average ~$100k, so it's not all apples and apples. While there may be some low-optioned, higher mileage GT4s trading around $80k, I don't see the overall market anywhere near that valuation for the next year or so, absent an economic catastrophe the likes of 2009.

Not sure how close is the comparison, but looking at the GT3 market, those rarely appear much below MSRP....yet.

My crystal ball is no more clear than anyone else's, but I have been a keen student of the GT4 market for over a year. One thing is for certain, it's got much more volatility than I would have expected, and it remains to be seen how this will continue as production ceases around now.

I would guess that they will go down in 6 month or a year, but it's a guess. Here's my question: what is the risk in waiting? I'm pretty sure prices won't go up in that period of time....

the overall markets are on cruise control.
any sign of a pullback and people will start selling off assets.
Prices a little high in my personal opinion.
Hillary vs Trump will have the desired impact for the next correction.
i know what price i will scoop up a gt4 for.
these are cars, not assets
im a patient man. ill buy one maybe two years old with some track miles on it
