Good attitude. I have the LWBs and their cool looking and maybe for resale down the road will add some value but I had the 4-ways on my 991 GT3 and they were also comfortable, easy entry and exit, and were not an issue when I sold it

Having had the two ways in two 981s inc a GT4 for day to day i like them better. For track the LWB are better. i wish there was a rake adjustment on the LWB for me that would make it a lot easier to get my ideal driving position. The only reason i switched was to be able to install a 6 point harness.

I wouldn't trade, but I prefer the 18 ways.

Tried that. suncoast claims the problem is the wiring harness is incompatible.

With that said early euro GT4s had the GT2 seat as an option embroidered/stitched with GT4. If I could buy a set of those I would do that. I've asked around and seems people haven't tried very hard to source the specific GT4 variant of the GT2 seat or it's more difficult to get than it seems.

Yeah, totally. LWB's would be amazing for the track and 6pt harness. I had Recaro Sportsters in my old track MINI and they made a difference so buckets I know definitely help from moving around on the track.

If you only want it for track get a Recaro to swap in and out. Much better support anyway. If you want the Recaro wrapped to match the interior call 311RS

the seats are almost plug and play. You can buy an extra occupancy sensor for the passenger seat. Several members have already done the swap.

If you are going to pay the price of a GT2 seat, the airbag better work. That is the part I've heard conflicting info about.

That would be a great alternative. Here is a video showcasing them: (2:56 and 4:30 mark)

Any write up threads? I would be pretty serious about this if I knew it could be done to be stock without a bunch of bootleg wiring and stuff like that.

Look in the 991gt3 forums. The harness plugs right in. However, you need to transfer and wire in the bladder for the seat occupancy detector from your sofa passenger seat. If you are somewhat handy with wiring, it can be done.

You could also go with an aftermarket seat like the Sparco SPX

Is there an anti sub pass through in the seat? If not, it would be no better than the oem sofa

I am not sure if it has a sub hole or not. I like the pass through for the shoulder harnesses better than the sofa's, but other than that, you are right, not really any better. It was just an idea.
