Default Do we have one touch start?

Haven't tried, but do we have one touch start on our cars? Can we just turn the key all the way and release to get starter going or do we have to hold it there until it starts?

Says something in the manual but not quite clear.

I've released the key a touch early once and the car didn't start so in the Australian market at least I'd say no

Maybe try it yourself and get the answer for yourself? It requires turning the key....

If you have Enter & Drive, yes.

No. We don't. You have to hold the key turned until it starts. There is even a light on the dash that says "HOLD".
I know, it sucks. For a $100k car I would've expected keyless entry and start/stop button. But oh well.

I have a jumper wire from the positive battery terminal and I touch it on the starter solenoid post. It starts right up!

I accidentally turned off the car while driving in the parking lot when my knee hit my keys and turned the ignition off. Whoops.

I always thought that Hold indicator on the dashboard was intended to indicate when the Hill Hold feature was working, although as was already noted in another thread, it doesn't ever light up on the GT4 even though it has Hill Hold.

Porsche is behind in this area - even in the Cayenne and other luxury models.
Other VW products have much better keyless entry and push button start.
E.g. Audi has very good features in this area.
I'm surprised Porsche doesn't just use the same tech.

MB is also very good.

Hahahaha. Harsh.

For me for 100k I want a real key and keyhole that I have to hold so it starts.
