My SA had two cars on the Mediterranean Highway last week and they both got out of the port in a little over 24 hours. My GTS PDI took less than 48 hours.
Omg this is killing me
My car just got to the port in San Diego!!!!!!!!
How long does PDI and such usually take !?
I'm in the bay area and my GT4 arrived into San Diego on March 8th and I didn't get the car until March 20th. This seemed long to me but my SA said that GT cars require a special truck so it ended up taking longer. Hope yours comes sooner!
Long delays at San Diego probably mean damage . . .
Yea, I got the same "specialty cars take a while longer" routine from my SA as well. Turns out my Spyder was damaged in shipment and repaired poorly at San Diego. Also turns out my SA was aware the car had been damaged but didn't pass that info along to me even though I specifically inquired about it. Nonetheless, I caught the damage, some of which was immediately apparent, some not, and I'm struggling with getting corrective repairs arranged by the dealer. The length of the delay was about two weeks longer than was originally anticipated once the ship hit port. It's a PTS Spyder and to say I'm not pleased with the situation would be an understatement. Not looking for sympathy, just letting folks know that an inexplicable delay likely means they're working to correct the damage as quickly and quietly as they can. And if you look long enough and close enough, likely there will be evidence of the repair because they can be sloppy at times. They certainly were with me.

That makes sense, my car took about 2 or three days to get out of PDI. But it took a week to get to NorCal from SD. My car showed up with all the other gt4 in the Bay Area!
My car arrived into the SD Port May 1st. Finished PDI on May 3rd. Loaded onto a Transport truck May 4 and arrived in my Los Angeles dealer May 6th. Rained heavily on that day and decided to pick up on the 9th.
