Default Squeaking Noise From the Clutch

I have enjoyed my GT-4 for the last month and have put around 2000 km on it. Lately I have noticed a squeaking noise when I press the clutch, it comes from somewhere behind the driver, probably from the engine. I am not experiencing any mechanical issues with this.
Anyone else experienced this, any ideas on what it can be?
Should I take it to service or is it something that will disappear in time?

Thanks Soupy, I guess I will have to contact the dealership now.

I had the same issue as Soupy. Took it to the dealer and after the first attempt of simply lubing the pedal assembly didn't work, they ended up replacing the release arm and bearing. Been squeak free for about a month now.

Well, I have booked a service appointment for Friday, we'll see what happens.

I have the noise but it seems to come from my feet. I likely need grease.

I have the noise as well. Haven't taken it to my dealer yet. When I eventually get it there, I'll try to get them to replace the release arm and bearing on the first try. I hate going back and forth.

Just an update, the technician has confirmed the noise and after consulting with other Porsche techs it seems like they will replace the clutch release fork ( if I remember the part name correctly). Parts are on order and this needs the whole transmission to be removed for this part to be replaced.

I brought the car in service today, they have all the parts and they said they would need a full day to do the work, should have it back tomorrow afternoon.

I picked up the car today, no noise, clutch feels really smooth, it's all good, hopefully it will stay that way.

If I run into this issue, I would be temped to wait longer in case Porsche comes up with some sort of part revision to address the issue.

I picked up the car a few days ago in Leipzig and am tooling around Europe with it. Currently in Strasbourg where it's hotter than *****.

Unfortunately, I have the same issue. Squeaky clutch during engagement and release. I'll have the dealer take a look when it finally reaches the US.

i have the same squeak@ 2000 mi. Its only when hot and the car is off tempted to let it go if there is no other collateral damage other than the squeak .
Has any one had anything else fail because of it ? Because its heat related im wondering that if over time the squeak will go away from ware? I really dont want the trans taken out seeing it may have to be replaced anyways if 3rd gear goes. Any thoughts ? Has anyone just lived with it and it either went away of got worse? the clutch operates smooth. thanks carl

Carl,

I would still do the repair, there is a reason Porsche is covering something like this, no questions asked. I wouldn't want to risk anything else going wrong because of it.
