265/35/19 & 295/30/19
If any of you have either run these sizes or specifically the new Conti/Hoosier tire, please share your feedback. As you can see in the attached chart, the rear size is a little out of tolerance.
Thank you,
Al

I've run that setup on Supercar 3s. Front end was great, but I would tend to get corner exit over steer. I switched to 305s in the rear and it suited my driving style perfectly.

Hi all- doing my research as I watch the GT4 market (I posted on here a few weeks ago about modded Cayman S vs GT4- my Cayman was lost in Ida floods last month). One place where I have been going back and forth was buying a car with LWB and I HAD decided to look for LWB car thanks to the feedback on here. Then I came across a few posts on this sticky that says you have to cut the passenger seat for the sub belt of a 6 point harness, which may be flagged by some clubs?! What is the solution here, if that same club requires the same restraints and seats on both sides? Why the heck would Porsche design the passenger seat differently than the driver seat? What are your thoughts on the integrity of the LWB after it needs to be cut? Wondering if I should find a GT4 with sofas and put in proper race seats (which have more lateral support anyway than LWB). Can anyone confirm this about clubs flagging the seats? (I am in NJ so I have run mostly with NNJR but sometimes the NYC amd Philly clubs too). Thx!

That makes no sense. Nor does not having the opening pre-cut on both seats, for that matter…. If indeed cutting the opening for the passenger seat is an issue with PCA that just gives me one more reason not to run with them. I’m getting mine done next week.

Cut both seats. Its dont ask dont tell. Not having same belts was an issue with Niagara region but not the others.

I run the Schroth 6 point on the left, and the specifically designed Schroth 4 point on the passenger side. Absolutely no need to cut up your LWBS, especially if you are only taking passenger occasionally. Many clubs you don't even get out of the car for tech inspection these days because of COVID. Most instructors will have no issue with it, if they do just run 3 points if you have them in the car.

I could see taking issue with that. 4-pt is NOT equivalent to 6-pt.

I do the same as Montaver and Niagara was the only region to make an issue of it. But I've ridden in the right seat with the 4pt ASM belts and dont find them as comfortable. If had to do it over again I would cut the seat. Once these belts expire I'll probably cut the seat then.

Was that on 10.5" rear wheels? Or 11"?

I would argue the factory seats were "designed for use with safety harnesses" which is the grey area people worry about. The seat actually has the the area marked by the factory for where option the opening. I see a lot of LWB seats with six points at my events and I have personally never heard of anyone getting grief about them in any region or from any shop. Go for the 6-points and OEM seats. It is a lot safer overall and avoids race seats with 3-points on street. A whole other can of worms...

Thanks. May I ask which wheels you're using?
I got the ever popular Forgeline 19x9,19x10.5, but if there's a set that can fit 11 in the rear (or even 9.5 in the front) then I'd be interested in getting for a 2nd set of track wheels.

i have a set of Forgelines 19x9, 19x11 and a set OZ Leggera HLT 19x8.5, 19x11.. You do have to run spacers in the rear because I'm running 50 mm offsets. The OZ don't clear the front calipers, as well as, the Forgelines.
