^Does anyone k now what the 991 GT3 and RS would weigh with similar specs??:
"full extended tank, LWBS, steel brakes, with radio and AC, with normal battery = 3100 pounds"

Probably 175-200 pounds more (RS on low side). Remember that the fuel tank is quite a bit bigger on GT3/RS

Trakcar,
CJ has a stripper car with LWBS, PCCB, light weight battery, and I believe he has radio delete as well.
Maybe, he can chime in on what his car weighs.

I read in pff.de forum that the tank is actually the same, but Porsche used a different overflow mechanism to limit the tank.

I filled the extended fuel tank to max with 93 oct before proceeding. My options are noted on the window sticker below.
Frankly, I was shocked when I saw the curb weight of 3117 lbs.
This car is now sold but my new GT4 will be identical with exception of buckets and PCCBs added.
And with me in the driver's seat: 3316 lbs

That's why I went with LWBs and PCCBs. I am trying to get this car as light as possible w/o sacrificing music and resale(A/C) . I have never-ever used the A/C in any one of my toys. Windows are mostly always down to listen to exhaust plus it is stored for the Winter so usually above 45 when I take her out but every one has said no A/C is a sale killer.
I think I am going to by an aftermarket Lithium battery because I heard there are better ones out there and install it from June thru Sept. I heard that those batteries do not like cold weather so I will pop it in for the winter storage and keep on charger.
I am figuring with my build I have to be in the 3020 range. It will be the lightest car I have owned

I think this makes sense, since the extra 3/4 tank (if full) for the Extended Range tank would weigh a surprising amount (RS Extended tank holds quite a few more gallons than GT4 Extended tank).

Wow, I didn't know Porsche was spec-ing the weight with all those options. I guess I should have figured as much given how much heavier everyone's cars here were. That's disappointing to hear. Shady marketing, though I'm sure everyone does it...

I have asked before but no one seems to know what the size variation is on the smaller fuel tank. IE shorter, less wide ??? Could it be the same size with a baffle? Just do not see a smaller tank saving that much weight comparing an empty to empty tank. I guess at half a tank it could create a better balance ( not that I would notice ) from less room for fuel to slosh around.

^^^ Thanks ! Did not see that one. That's what I would of thought. Why build an extra gas tank mold to save a couple of gallons ? That just adds to the price. Wonder if you can convert it? I forgot to get the extended range tank and hate fueling up so much.

So you figure 60 lbs off of the 3117 lbs??? ~3050 lbs - Add a lithium after market battery and looking ~3020 lbs - that is not too shabby. An after market exhaust can take you down another 25 lbs.

I run Shorai LiFe Polymer powersports batteries. They are far cheaper than Li Ion. I can get the baddest one they sell for around $270 and it still weighs under 5lbs. I would be pleased just making it to 2999lbs all said and done.
