No, they are not the same.

'Grey/Black' was specially formulated for the .2 997 gtr RS & still available
as PTS on the 991/981:

The 'Slate Greys' currently approved for PTS:

Color code 615 is the 'Slate Grey' that Sportscentury chose for his gt4!

the 356B days in the early 1960's:

By the early 911/912 period, it was referred to as color code 615:



So if you want the true Steve McQueen 'Slate Grey', you will be looking
for color code 615!
