As mentioned earlier, we can't help but notice that one of the initial reactions to the color of our 991 Turbo S is to compare it to the Grey Black of the 997.2 GT3 RS.
After all, when viewed separately, these colors do seem very similar at first glance.
However, when placed side by side, the differences begin to reveal themselves.
Grey Black tends to have a bluer hue, even purple in some lights, and actually contains a minute amount of metallic flake to the finish.
Meanwhile, Slate Gray is non-metallic, and takes on a greenish tint in most lights.
And... we like ours more. Which is, of course, the most important differentiator of all.

schiefergrau 6601....present PTS color code is '615'. Non-Metallic.
