Yep. Not sure how they all got them, maybe some sort of connections. I do know that 2 of them were first time P car owners. I do not know how good of a customer the RS person was.
2 -Walters
1- McKenna
1- Hoehn (sp?) San Diego
Also an RS delivered yesterday at $50K over at McKenna. Also heard from McKenna that most dealers are actually SELLING their RS's at $25K - $75K but not many are getting over that.
Negative.
Hoehn Carlsbad had a premium as well. $10k over and no allocation available at that time.
I backed out of my allocation with McKenna because they would not go lower than Rusnak... They wanted $15k over and i initially placed my deposit but when I heard Rusnak had an available allocation for a much lower premium i opted to pull out and go with Rusnak.
If you got McKenna to go lower than $15k on an allocation i applaud you... they were not willing to work with me on that so i pulled out my deposit and walked.
So its funny I thought I had a non-refundable deposit up. My dealer actually called me yesterday and asked if I still wanted it, if not they would refund my deposit. My guess is they've caught on to the MSRP + some number game and suddenly wouldn't mind having it back. I think they are a fairly new dealer and received these spots as a gimme.
I'm actually thinking about it. The stock market sucks, my portfolio is down, I already have 3 cars. I'm starting to wondering whether plopping a $100K on a car just to see if its better than my GT3 is smart right now. My guess is lots of others in my same spot...
So I think MSRP is definitely to be had...

Makes you wonder if there is an opportunity to negotiate down at delivery, if one is willing to walk away.
I'm at MSRP and would not do it, but for those above sticker?

I didn't get any of these. They are all friends or acquaintances and they are fact.
Sorry to post here. Yes they are lying to me. Go pay over because everyone is, carry on. Continue to listen to all these people on the is forum that "market value" for these cars are over MSRP and RS' are $150k over.
Circumstances / timing of when you show up to the dealer / luck / how bad you want the car. Two people have bought GT4s at the same SoCal dealer one week apart...one at MSRP and the other for $20k over. Doesn't mean everyone at the same dealer gets the same price.
Many of the first cars delivered were at MSRP but many were not.

This is true. The same dealer will vary greatly in deals on this car. Over msrp is not set in stone, people. This includes CA dealers. The people paying way over were robbed, but they freely chose to be robbed.

And now they are bitter and come on here and think folks are lying because they are embarrassed all the while they are the embarrassed fools because they got sucked in thinking the prices were going to remain higher while they are not.

Or listen to those on Internet forums whom say the bubble has burst, the market for GT cars is MSRP, etc....
While I agree with not paying above MSRP, some buyers choose to and this will always be the case when demand is greater than supply (locally, regionally).
the cars are still selling over MSRP on ebay. I watch the cars come and go, and email the sellers, all but one have confirmed their buyers came through. Most of the cars are asking 15-25+, but seem to be ending actions around 8-12+. With LWBs. no lwbs doesnt seem to have the same market.

Sounds like you're referring to me, but I didn't pay over MSRP for anything. I've never even paid MSRP for a car in my life. I'd love to see one of these mystical MSRP dealer allocations supposedly still out there though...

Not sure where you are getting your info but I just called those three dealerships of which one I am "in" with and they are all asking at least 15k over for the GT4 even if they have an allocation. They aren't even entertaining the RS bc all are pre sold
If the enthusiasts would choose not to pay over, the dealers wouldn't get away with these shenanigans... But we live in the "I want it now" generation.
Which makes me curious to know how many of those individuals had the cash to buy the car outright.. 'cus if they didn't, they may regret that (+MSRP) decision in the coming months..
