After 12 hours of on-track time and 6500 miles, I needed new front rotors and brakes.

I go non-OEM (at the advice of the shop) and opt for GiroDisc rotors, Raybestos brake pads, and put Bridgestone RE-71R all the way around.

Then I go run Streets of Willow for the first time during a private event to put it all to the test.

Nothing beats having a track to yourself (or mostly to yourself) lap after lap after lap after ...

Yesterday was my birthday.

The gf and I took the GT4 to TPC Harding Park for a birthday round, then headed to the Mountain House for a dry run of next week's meetup.

Passed a Sapphire Blue GT4 on Skyline Blvd. Pulled into the Mountain House and what's sitting there but a Rhodium Silver GT4. Met its owner (Sam) and his wife. Unfortunately they'll be in Tahoe next week and won't be able to make the meetup. Great to meet local GT4 owners in any case!

How loud is the exhaust and any drone. Did you have to do a tune

It's super LOUD and I love it, there's some drone, no tune all stock but the sounds it's like the god of thunder, for those that are looking to loose some pounds and the glorious sound of the engine this's the way to go. When you're driving in the mountains for 4 days with 70+ GT cars and everyone you talk to tells you that it's sounds amazing and that you're probably the loudest car in the event, there it's no better compliment but my neighbors probably hate me.

One of the reasons I went with Dundon was no drone and being able to engage in a conversation at freeway speeds. Open up the car with Dundon and it has an amazing sound. Not artificially loud rather a purposeful sound.

The drone it's not bad, I drove for 9 hours with the wife and we talk the whole time. I put a deposit and waited over 2 months for the Dundon headers and they still didn't know when I will get them, at that point I decided to try the Fabspeed exhaust also the fact that my dealer it's not headers friendly made the choice to get the exhaust. Still not sure if I keep the GT4 or get a 991.2 GT3 I didn't wanted to be on the bad side of the dealer.

I had to wait to get mine but the wait was worth it. I almost traded my GT4 in last week for a slot on a GT3. After a conversation with Jamie at Dundon I decided to keep the GT4. Dundon has some interesting things in the pipeline for the GT4.

I understand the dealer issue. They could make life miserable.
