Anyone have a Video VBox CAN connection running in a GT4?

I'm waiting to hear from Racelogic and my dealer. I assumed it is the same as a regular 981, makes no sense for the wiring harnesses to be different. AIM has an installation document - but I can't confirm this works in a GT4, nor do I have the scene file for a VBOX that listens to any data channels yet.

I spoke to a Racelogic person recently and they were suggesting that the OBD port on Porsches doesn't provide much useful data. However, in the attached doc on AIM it seems to suggest that the core data items are available on OBD?
Secondly, I use the racelogic clip-on CAN cable on my 996 GT3 as it does not require any intrusive mods and can be moved to a different car. In the AIM document it appears that the CAN cable is quite difficult to isolate in this area. Anyone else use the clip-on interface?

OBD2 doesnt work in the GT4. CAN bus testing is happening as we speak on the GT4 but we dont have a final answer yet. Theres a couple of threads going related to the AIM setup and configurations (one in the data acquisition part of RL) and its all still up in the air. Bottom line is that the GT4 and all current 981 ECUs give very little off the OBD2 port...and there are a lot of unhappy drivers like us wanting more access to the cars metrics.

Ok, I have my VBOX installed, but CAN bus via direct connect no bueno. VBOX has limited diagnostics, so I have no idea what's wrong, or if I've even got the right wires. Orange/Red (High) and Orange/Brown (Low). Erg.

Hi, any update on where in the car you guys are finding the CAN cable for tapping into?
GT4 arrives next week and I would like to move my vbox setup over to it...
Thanks!

That's for the AIM system.
Racelogic is still working on their CAN database for the GT4. I've been in direct contact with Mark Kibble. He says Uk is working on it now, and has been told to sit tight. Sucks, but hopefully soon. My guess is that they are busy debugging the new HD2 unit.

Tried tapping into the Can bus via trunk area using the clip-on cable. Not working at the moment.
Have tried Cayman (Porsche generic), Cayman S, 991, and 991 (2014) CAN profiles off the vbox database.
Can't tell whether the tap is not working or the CAN profiles are incorrect.

I have the same issue - I've tried everything they've sent me. Now they believe it needs something unique and are waiting for a customer's car in the UK. Supposedly it's coming soon. Peter seems to have the SOLO DL working, which means it's using an existing protocol. He might be able to shed some light on it.

Can connection for gt4 is located by driver's side footwell fusebox. Seems pretty easy to tap into. There's a purple harness in the footwell (after you remove fuse box carpeting). The brown/red stripe twisted pair are there
