I didn't see one of these cars, but I heard about it from somebody who saw it at a dealer. Comment went something like "You missed Ronald McDonald's GT4"

Do not like painted interior. Agree with others though, paint or stitching, not both and not yellow with CR. I have yellow on yellow but no paint inside.

Kind of off topic (since it has nothing to do with red and yellow), but relevant to several posts in this thread...what's wrong with painted interior exactly?

The carbon fiber weave doesn't match the LWB seats and its just black leather on black carbon fiber on black alcantara and there is no contrast or pop.

I totally agree that yellow switching with red painted interior does NOT work on any level. But with the right colors I think painted interior can look much better than the sea of black. To each their own I guess but this is how I did mine with Carrara White Metallic, red stitching and painted interior:

Painted interior trim is awesome. Especially in white!

Painted trim works, I think. Just requires a careful eye, b/c you can get tacky *real* quick.

That white trim looks slick.

I'd say go with red interior stitching and red belts. Skip the painted interior, I'm not a fan personally. I think it cheapens the look of the interior and will kill resale too. PCCB brakes are fine being yellow by themselves.

That interior combo looks amazing Jenner!

Here is a photo of the yellow painted interior trim with yellow stitching. This was the GT4 show around the country during the Porsche World Roadshow this past summer.

Thanks for all the replies.

I ended up going with Carmine red, painted interior, and platinum stitching.

I also found out that LWBs are a go and my build starts in January.

Now the wait begins!

CR with the Red stitching matches good. Does not look like the wrong red.

I have carbon fiber, but you did a great job with the painted pieces and red interior.

Thoughts or opinions?
The great thing about RL is we all get to be experts on color. So FWIW, I've got a build in the system with this combination (except no CR inside, just CF) and don't care what others think about it. It's a freak'n GT4!

Keep in mind all the naysayers about Ultraviolet on the GT3RS and now it commands a huge premium.

So just do it if *you* like and don't worry about resale, I'm sure you'll have no trouble unloading when the time comes.

Guards red, painted interior, yellow stitching, belts and steering wheel tic for me.
Not specing the car for the next owner.
Might even get "BIGMAC" for a license plate.
Its an in your face car... the more controversial the better!
Not to mention as of now it will be 1 of 1. That can't hurt resale!
In the end, to each his own... thats why theres chocolate and vanilla!

I usually don't like painted interiors but that is entirely personal preference. Every once in awhile though I see one that just works. But I do not have the vision to be able to configure it myself and be confident the final product would "work" so I just go conservative with known, proven combinations.

Yes, as a kid I wore Garanamals, and as an adult my wife picks out my clothes when I need to match.
