The original file hosting service is no longer available. I saved and rehosted a copy of it. I also updated a few of the late production VINs that had missing data when originally compiled.
I didn't grab the vin but Porsche OKC had a 981 Spyder in Rhodium with carbon buckets a few months ago. last price I saw was $106k and it had 10k miles.
I went and drove this car. It was clean and strong, great sound. Optioned to the hilt, but the sales guys just wasn't to be trusted, you know the type. On my test drive i emptied out the glove box and found the previous owners insurance id card, came home and tracked him down. He told me the entire floor of the car was flooded with standing water up to the bottom of the seats. His insurance company had to have it towed out since all the the electronics were fried. After hearing that I can't imagine how well it was repaired. The seller had a PPI from a Porsche store, but even that stated it had the wrong radio amp in it, no doubt from a yard, and who knows what other parts were thrown in that weren't new, proper, or otherwise. I loved the car but it was going to be a huge gamble I wasn't willing to take. I see the car has sold.
I’m curious on that flood car you are describing did that not show up on a Carfax? If a Carfax would be clean on that car it would just show how useless a carfax really is.
Greetings. I'll assume that since the last post to this thread was in October 2023, that no one is actively maintaining the MSDocs database. I just purchased row 104 in the database and there are some errors in the database entry.
How do I figure out what number mine is? I went back to page one of this thread to see if it was explained, but tl/dr... I did do Alton's calculator but not sure how to interpret
