S2taxi,
Do you know what determines the 9th digit in the VIN (after the "8")? It changes per car and I can't figure out what it represents?

it's a universal checksum algorithm used for all VINs.

Ahhh... Thanks man... I was entering every single digit 1-X for each VIN... took forever. This tool will save time. Searching for my car as it should be complete any day

Is it already too late to order a Spyder? Its not on the PNA site anymore. What is total production?

I believe all allocations are spoken for. Build configurator was taken down when the 718 went up. There are still some available at dealers though. Post on that in this section.

Exact number not know yet. But look at S2's spreadsheet to get an idea

I suspect about 800 total based on an assumption they will be produced through May

if that is true, it lines up pretty closely to 987 production numbers. I'm assuming you're speaking about NA? or just the U.S.?

When does the vin actually get assigned? I know mine was scheduled for completion last week.

'm going by average production per month with the assumption they will produce through April. number for North America. US should be about 10% less.

I don't know exactly how VIN registration in their database corresponds to the completion date. I'll do an update later.

Just did a VIN search... the factory is up to WP0CC2A85GS152682

Haven't seen any PTS Spyders pop up on the list for a bit.... Mine was scheduled for completion 1/22 and entered CT (Custom Tailoring) and is due for final completion 2/5.

Based on others I think CT isn't really reported until after the fact for actual timing on the tracker, otherwise there is a huge issue with my Spyder.

The tracker is still reporting that my Spyder is still in the Body Shop and has been there since 1/14 (a day earlier than the expected date and over a week earlier than schedule.

I check the VIN's daily hoping to find my Spyder... Mile, I'll let you know if I see yours!

Awesome, thanks! Where do you check to see if it's popped up?
