Thanks, Steve. It is my understanding that all allocations, regardless of build date will be kicked back as v100 if you order buckets as of right now. That is expected to change, but when is the question.

You just can't catch a break, can you?

for what it's worth, there isn't any more LWB in ROW either, in the UK it is no longer possible to have clubsport spec. Mine is scheduled for completion on dec 2 and delivery to dealer in about a week after. Thankfully it has lwb and clubsport.

But, even if it has sofas, I wouldn't give the car up.....

GT4 has just won EVO COTY against the Mac 675 LT and 991 RS, so the desirability factor is going to shoot sky high. Remember also that EvoCOTY is testing on canyons only and does not include track work so the real world road car kudos is off the charts considering it's base price.

if delays solely mean delays and you won't lose the car then accept the delay and wait. but if it means being bumped then I'd encouraged u to accept the car with sofa and buy the GT4 clubsport buckets.... they are better anyway.

Seems to be a silly problem to have. For sure Recaro could have made a nice back up seat for Porsche to put in the gt4?

I can't remember the name of the current seat manufacture but they must have some serious problems with production.

If they can put both Dunlops and Michelin on the cars why not have Recaro make a nice LWB for the gt4? It's not that they haven't had time to figure this out.

Lear is the vendor.

You also can't just simply ramp up production at will to cover one buyer, PAG in this case, and possibly in the process ignore your other buyers. Getting another vendor in could require sharing of proprietary data to simplifying certification of a second production facility.

As previously posted in appeared that PAG underestimated when it awarded the contract. Trying to do a ramp involves more than just the vendor, it also includes the other sub-vendors.

As you remember in ROW did offer a second choice - previous gen bucket seats.

This is because of the LWB stop sale. I've been told by 2 different dealerships here that ALL new allocations, no matter the build date, are being kicked back as V100 if you option P11 buckets for now, until the issue gets resolved. Now comes the problem of risking your order being locked before the buckets come back into supply, or delaying the order (which might not be possible for some).

Porsche, I'm astounded at how difficult you are making it for people to spend 100k....
Sorry to hear man. That happened to me the first round of LWBs delays. I stuck to my guns and just waited it out. Took a late Nov/early Dec delivery instead of Aug, but got LWBs. I would just wait it out. Maybe they are doing this again to see how many customers they can convince to take the car without LWBs and then make them available again.

I was going to sell my Racing Yellow GT4 with LWB and order another car I can spec out with LWB and dealer says no go on LWB.

Looks like those that have a GT4 with LWB seats should hang onto their cars with their dear lives as its going to be extremely rare!!!

Just got my allocation after a harrowing experience of cold calls.

March build and apparently LWBs went through. All this chatter makes me dubious about it, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Had an allocation in the spring that went v100 due to lwb seats, passed for next allocation hoping for lwb seat availability, just got the dealer's next allocation and its v100 for lwb seats

FWIW, my order with LWBS was stuck in v100 for a long time before it became v200 (with LWBS) closer to the freeze date. So I wouldn't rule out getting LWBS yet.

I'm still at v215. Delivery date scheduled for March 25, 2016. PTS and buckets locked and loaded.
