We are sitting here in November 2015. Production slots being spec'd now ARE 2016 production slots. PTS window is shut.

What are the alternatives if we cant get the buckets from factory? Order the 16 way adjustable option and look for an aftermarket bucket that is similar?

I'm meeting with my salesman in 2 hours to submit my build...I'll see if he has any info.

 

My SA just forwarded (11/2/2015 - 2:19pm) an email from Porsche USA, regarding my order, that read,

"Due to an order stop, option P11(full bucket seats)has been replaced with option P04 (2-way sport seats) from the order(s) listed below.

P11 is currently unavailable from September 11th forward for the Boxster Spyder and September 24th for the Cayman GT4.

Currently, there is no release date for this option.

Please update this order if these are not the seats you would like.

Contact me if you have any questions."



So do I just switch to the sofas and wait till I get closer to production and see if they come available again?

 

I've been told the same as well today. Ugh what cluster*uck. My original January build has been swapped for a March one, but now I'm not sure what to do at this point. Porsche really needs to get their act together.

 

Tell me about it. I am at the point where I may just plan to swap the drivers seat for a bucket when I track it. I don't get the impression it is going to happen any other way.

 

Do you have a build sheet for your March order? Did it come back v100 as well?

 

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it.

The buckets are pretty and that's about it IMO.

I have them in my GT3 and they are too big for me (I'm 5' 9" and ~155lbs).

I planned on using them on the track in the GT3 and now pull the driver's seat and fit a real Recaro bucket (with a Halo) for track use.

So now I have a GT3 with seats that are only OK for the street and do not work for me for the track.

My GT4 has 18 ways after experiencing the buckets in the GT3.
