Why would you change the oil on a brand new car.

I haven't checked but I assume it is PTX like the other cars. This gearbox is no different than a Cayman S gearbox.

Mvez: Who's going to the party tonight? I assume Susan will be there.
LexVan: Susan said she wasn't going.
Mvez: I didn't ask who wasn't going, I asked who will be there. Sheesh!
LexVan: Look, are you trying to be cute? My reply is completely reasonable in the context of your combination question/assumption. Don't be an $!*$^@#!

Actually in your example Susan could be one of an entire list of people that's going to the party, whereas Mvez' question only has one possible answer. It's more like:

Mvez: Do you know what time it is? Is it 8 o'clock?
LexVan: No. It's not 8 o'clock
Mvez: Well, if you know enough to know that it's not 8 do you know enough to tell me what time it actually is?
LexVan: You assumed it was 8 and I corrected you

Do you want me to invoke Logic 101? People can gather knowledge directly (either find out for themselves or have it spoonfed to them) or indirectly. Regarding the latter, one way of arriving at the correct answer is to eliminate possibilities. If you're writing a multiple choice test in school and you text your best bro': "Dude, what's the answer to question 17? Is it 'c'?". Dude doesn't know the correct answer offhand, but he does know that 'c' isn't it. Would you prefer he say nothing because he's not sure or would you like to know that 'c' should be removed from consideration? I'm going to roll my eyes again
