I, like everyone else ,would really like to order a GT4 to my specs. At this point, I think my chances are about 10%. With waiting lists a mile long and no real information about how many more might be coming to the US, it's getting discouraging. I have multiple deposits, at different dealerships, but I am not near the front of these lists in line. Without knowing how many cars might be coming to the US and how many GT4's will be allocated to a specific dealership, a 10% chance of getting one is probably not a realistic %. Anyone else going through the same thing? Any Ideas on how to increase my odds of getting one? Oh, I forgot to mention, all this at MSRP. My odds are probably better on winning the lottery.
I'm not saying this is a game-changer, but I think being local to the dealership where you have your deposit makes a difference. They want to see the car again. They want you to service it there. Whether that helps you or hurts you in this instance I don't know, but I think it's one thing that helps.

At this point, seems like the decision is either to wait for the next gen or find a spec that is acceptable and negotiate the best price possible.
I did have three $$ deposits back in Feb. All were out of state since my local and in state dealers said their lists were already too long.

Sorry to hear that. I wrote to almost 200 dealerships in March/April and picked the one dealership with a single digit waitlist and a low dollar amount, thinking my chances would be best with that combination. I was fortunate enough for it to work out!

I have an allocation (received it months ago - pushed the build month back due to LWB and PTS).
just find the car with the specs you want as you are not paying for options you dont want. thus the $$ over MSRP is not too bad for a car you can be driving right now. I paid $10k over for my stripper GT4 and have been enjoying it for over a month now.
Does anyone have any info on future allocations, I.e. When it might happen, how many cars, etc. ?
This isn't for me but my best friend has had a deposit for quite some time and keeps wondering.
I searched but couldn't find anything recent.
Thanks and apologies if I missed recent info.
I don't believe it was any secret that porsche dealers started to accept further orders in june/July 2015 because PAG advised them of an increase in production #'s.
If he got in during that window, and is high on his dealers list (dealers submit v70 request to porsche and allocations are provided down that line) he should just be patient and wait until mid/late q4 2015 (Nov/Dec) for notification.
Imo, at this point it's either yay or nay.. so he shouldn't concern himself ☺
Ideally he should connect with his dealership/SA/BA and inquire directly about his particular position.
with north american vin's in the 800's now and production to be about 1250 cars for the NA market I would say Porsche is just about done. considering allocations have already been given for oct/nov/dec builds not included in the vins listed above.

I wish I could get a dealership to accept a deposit for a car at MSRP, here on the west coast. Even if I could, the lists all seem to be 10 to 20 people waiting. I currently have 3 deposits with out of state dealers and still don't think my odds are very good. Congrats to everyone that has received their cars.

This suggests that the VIN series is specific to the GT4? I read something about this before too elsewhere. Is that how Porsche normally does VIN's? I thought for most companies the VIN's are for an entire line of cars so the GT4 numbers could be mixed in with other Caymans, Boxsters, etc.
