Dunlops are a much better alternative
That will have to wait til the spring. I don't have that warm, but cloudy sunshine in my area; its already freezing over night at the tracks I frequent the most.

Thanx

has anyone looked into CCW offerings, it seems that all their wheels are custom so getting a 19 with the proper width and offset would be easy to achieve, most importantly their pricing is reasonable

I don't think anyone on this forum has posted anything about ordering or buying CCW wheels for their GT4 yet. CCW is a completely custom built wheel and they can make almost any diameter, width and offset. They are light, strong, ,and reliable. But the finish quality is not as nice as some of the big manufacturers. CCW will be a LOT less expensive than Forgeline or BBS, for example. Last time I checked, a set of 4 CCW wheels cost $3,000 - $3,500.

If you are looking for a set of track-only wheels I think CCW would be a good option. Currently, OZ offers some 19" wheels that will fit but they are 8.5"F and 10"R. I would prefer to use a 9" wheel in front and maybe a 10.5" in the back.

Many people use CCWs for track wheels, but Im in FL so it may be a bit biased.. I would really like to see 19x9 and 19 x11. But custom wheels you can have with many different companies.

I think the problem is getting a variety of lower cost tires. Wheels you purchase once, but tires you constantly replace for track days... it would be great to have a signed petition to Toyo or Nitto for 19" sizes for the whole GT spectrum. RA1s, RRs, and NT-01s..

I sent them an email a while ago and left two messages. They never responded to the email and did not return the phone calls...Oh well, moved on somewhere else...

Someone got $$$ burning a hole in their pocket if they contemplate doing that to save $$$ on tires.

IMHO

I did 19s for winter as well. It's close, but safely distanced from the calipers.

It may not be possible, as the GT4 clubsport supposedly is using the Cup front axle, which is a completely different knuckle (double shear tie-rod setup)...but hopefully it would be possible.

I spoke with John, he said they are "working" on GT4 specific wheels.

BTW - notice how the clubsport wheel sizes are 9" front, and 10.5" rear from the factory.....maybe now people will start listening to me and use 10.5" for rear track wheels.....

Most are too lazy and just post without searching first.

Showing only the fronts is cheating. What did you do for the rears; post width and offset.

Yes, I caught this too. Very nice to get this guidance from them. 9"F and 10.5"R looks like the optimal setup. Now we just have to find the wheels!
