Attachment 1358471

Greetings Rennlist Friends,

Following up from the proven success of the BBi Autosport StreetCup Porsche 996, 997, and 991 line of performance upgrades, we have acquired a new 981 Cayman GT4. We are now in the process of product development for an all-new line of components, designed specifically for the 981 Cayman GT4 platform. With many years invested in development and testing on both the track and street, our StreetCup Package will further improve the overall performance of the Porsche 981 Turbo and make it even more track-worthy.

Inspired by Porsche’s motorsport program, the Street Cup name represents the culmination of our winning experience in professional motorsports and the extensive R&D efforts with our in-house fabrication, suspension engineering, and engine development programs. All of the experience gained with our successful racing background combined with state-of-the-art materials and the highest quality manufacturing have yielded an upgrade package worthy of the Porsche name.

Here is a list of performance upgrades that we currently have under development:
  • BBi Porsche 981 Cayman GT4 StreetCup Roll Bar
  • BBi Porsche 981 Cayman GT4 StreetCup Suspension Package
  • BBi Porsche 981 Cayman GT4 Aerodynamic Upgrades

You guys are ideally set up for this, but I think your #1 hot seller will eventually be - transmission regearing! Yah, I know, likely a small market especially for a low volume car that is just starting its warranty run, but 80+MPH in 2nd gear - come on! This thing would really honk with a nicely chosen shorter gear stack

Best of luck!

Cheers,

Mike

It would be great to have domestic harness bar that has proper geometry for the LWBs and respects the cosmetic aspects of the car as much as possible. That market is right now!

We are currently working on StreetCup Suspension Package will improve handling and chassis response by replacing the OEM rubber bushings with spherical bearings and using upgraded control arms/links to provides additional adjustment range and help maintain proper suspension geometry.

The package that we are currently designing will include:

LCA Inserts
Front and Rear Thrust Arms
Rear Toe Links

Like the package that we offer 991 GT3 kit shown below, we are considering developing a linear-rate spring package that are matched appropriately for the OE dampers to improve handling and still maintain comfort.

Rest assured, we will be developing a roll bar/ harness bar for the 981 GT4 that will outstanding in regards to both function and aesthetics.

Roll bars and harness bars are one of our specialties. For Rennlisters who are unfamiliar with our offerings, here is what we currently offer for the 996, 997, and 991.

Jerry, tell Betim to make some drop links for the GT4 as Ira at Tarett doesn't have any.

Somehow I missed this option from BGB that looks very good for those of us getting GT4s with LWBs. I hate to cut carpet, but I did that to install the DAS Sport bar in my 996 street GT3 and found it easy to replace the piece when I sold the car (and of course now I regret selling the car!).

See the Rennlist post here: BGB Harness Bar.
