That is awesome news!!!
Congrats. Now the fun begins:
1. Getting your VIN means your Spyder has started production.
2. Next step is to utilize the dealer Build Sheet website:
admin.porschedealer.com/reports/build_sheets/print.php?vin=XXXXXXXXXX (replace the X's with your VIN).
Initially it will be blank but once it shows your build data, it means your Spyder is complete! It updates the day of completion (no delay).
3. Then once complete verify your schedule from your sales associate... I ask for a screen shot. This will show your port entry and port exit from Emden.
4. Based on this data and what is your delivery port you can determine which ship you are on via this RoRo schedule:
http://www.pwl.de/en/services/liner/roro?subcat=693
Click on the PDF Export Schedule. It updates occasionally.
5. Then track your ship via: https://www.vesselfinder.com
Once it is in open sea tracking will disappear but shows up once near land (I think if you have the paid subscription you can track the entire time?)
6. If you are obsessed like me you can see your ship go through the panama canal via live webcam: http://www.pancanal.com/eng/photo/camera-java.html
All this info is for reference if you already don't have it
My Spyder is scheduled to be on the Hojin and unloads in San Diego 3/25.
