Default Does your GT4 have these displays?

Owner's Manual (pp. 97-98) shows three displays that can be set, but it's not clear to me whether they are only available on cars with Sport Chrono. For those without, do you see these optional displays?

On a related note, how annoyingly visible is the Upshift indicator on the main display?

Gear Shift Assist Menu
(in vehicles with manual transmission)
In order to provide assistance during
performance-oriented driving, a graphic display of
the upshift indicator is shown in the “Gear shift
assist” main menu.
The gearshift assistant displays a prompt to shift
to the next-higher gear with a pre-indication via
segments that fill up. The sequence in which the
segments are filled with color is white, yellow,
red. When all the segments are filled in red, a “+” sign
appears next to the engaged gear in the display as
a prompt to shift to the next-higher gear.

G-Forces Menu
In the “G-forces” main menu, the current lateral
and longitudinal acceleration forces are shown
graphically (in m/s2) in the form of a circular
diagram.
The maximum occurring longitudinal and lateral
acceleration forces are displayed (in m/s2) in the
“Maximum g-force” sub-menu.
The values can be reset via the menu item “Reset”
(illustration).

Performance Menu
In the “Performance” main menu, the current
power or torque can be displayed graphically as a
function of engine speed.

i can not say whether or not they are linked to sport chrono as i have it, but i took this on my drive home from the dealer as i have never been in a newer porsche and thought all the different views were quite cool. especially the map view in the cluster.

I don't have sport chrono. I have the performanceower/torque curve (not sure what it's good for). I haven't seen the gear shift assist menu, don't see how I'd use it.

I am missing the g-forces, if it can be somehow unlocked, I'd be up for that.

Why do I get the feeling that there will be more of these sport chrono related differences found in the next few months. It shouldn't have been so hard to determine what you really got with that option. The lack of detail in the way it was deceived is really poor. I could care less about shift lights but if that data is not available off the CAN in cars without the clock, that will suck.

The Sport Chrono description from the beginning has always mentioned additional Performance displays in the instrument cluster/PCM. (EDIT: Guess not. Weird, could have sworn I read about this somewhere....) I agree they're kind of cool, but I find them relatively gimmicky. When they're doing something interesting, you'll want to make sure your eyes are on the road anyway.

The configurator info for the Sport chrono option does mention "additional performance display" at least on the PCM screen -

Notes: additional performance display on integrated 7-inch color touchscreen in conjunction with Porsche Communication Management (PCM).
Anyway, I asked/looked, but it wasn't clear what really was/was not part of sport chrono, which is why I grudgingly ticked it (also like the look of the clock in 981). But, also agree they are all sort of half cool/half gimmicky.

Wondering if Suncoast will end up offering the software at a later date. Displays are cool. Not sure they're worth the clock though.

I have sport chrono, but base stereo, so hope I get the displays.

I'm very relieved to see that the gear shift 'helper' is on an optional screen and not permanent/prominent on the tach. I hate cars that try to tell me what gear to be in.

There is a big gear shift display that you need not see but there is also a small one on the tach that it does mot appear can be turned off.

The rented diesel minivan I have been driving in Europe for the last month has this feature. Redundant IMO.
