You may want to take a close look at the wing support seal on your cars. This is the black surround that is at the base of the wing support and is bonded (with what appears to be be tape) to the deck lid. The one on the drivers side of my car has popped up and will not stay down, flush with the deck lid. #3 in this image:
You figure that first model year cars always have issues, but that maybe the GT4 will be immune given how much of this car is comprised of components that have already been used elsewhere for a while, and then somebody has a defect with a GT4-specific part. Sigh....
Hopefully this doesn't become a widespread issue, although on the scale of issues, this one is likely trivial to fix, and as long as the fasteners underneath hold, it doesn't seem like a safety issue. I suppose it could cause some damage if that seal came up while it was raining though.
nothing a bead of silicon won't solve - to seal and keep the piece in place
True. Definitely reseal with flexible silicon if indicated to keep water out. I wonder why people report drivers side only ??? I would think the wing greats a lot of torque and some slight movement - which would certainly cause a fixed piece of plastic taped down to giveway for sure.
