GT4 Database
They do look damn good though, at least in pics. Hopefully I will get a chance to see one in the flesh soon. To date I have only seen one GT4, a white one, in person.
On the second tab there is a series of charts and grids showing all kinds of that kind of data, and it is dynamic thus always up to date. I got a little crazy with some of the data so you may not find it interesting but color breakdown is right there at the top.
Here is today's attached though if you don't want to go to the google doc.

White has always been the top "GT" color ever since the original GT3 came out.
Not surprised that Sapphire Blue is near the top......it looks amazing, "pops" in the sunlight yet looks quite different in the shade, is a light enough color that it hides the dirt and dust pretty well unlike DBM and black, and is unique and not one of the 4 most common colors on the road today....white, black, silver and grey=95% of all cars.
These results don't surprise me at all.

I always think "this time I am going to do it different" and then I get another white one.
I am boring. Once I had a silver car.
As god is my witness if I ever get another Porsche, Lava Orange it is!!

Interesting results so far with the first round of allocations. White is certainly popular.
Have you looked at the Auto Gallery site lately? I recieved an email from them this morning and checked out their Cayman stock and noticed 5 GT4s listed. I am assuming all customer cars, but maybe not. Two White, 1 CWM, 1 Jet Black and 1 GT Silver.

Just an update because I just did another scan of all US dealerships, and Auto Trader, and cars.com. As a result, the Registry has now broken the 200 barrier!
Interestingly I did not harvest a single new VIN from dealer sites this time around. As a matter of fact there are remarkably fewer cars than the first scan showing up. I would say about 25% of what was once there.
At the same time cars.com listing hit an all time high at some 40 cars listed. and Auto Trader is in the 30's. That is where a lot of new VIN's came in.
I have also started cataloging wheel color. Not sure why I did not think to do that from the start but if you see a car missing a wheel color, and you happen to know feel free to let me know.
The color popularity graph did change a little but the top 3 held their positions. If you are not aware you can always see the most up to date ranking on the second tab.
I also highlighted Rennlister cars in green. Famous cars in blue (the only example so far is the Ron Cooper ebay fiasco car).
Another new observation I have had is that I have precious few VIN's (only 2 actually) below 100. And those two are 94 and 99, so nothing below 90. I can only assume those are super VIP allocations that went straight to the Bilderberg Cellars and are probably all plated in Gold.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far!

Well I hit sort of a milestone so I thought I'd bump this to the top. I had been waiting to get 250 cars in the database and I had been sitting at 249 for over a day.
My dealer just sent me some paperwork and guess what was on it? My VIN! so guess who's VIN took the 250 spot and put me over the top. My own!
I had thought my car was going to be in the 600's seeing that most newly delivered cars seem to be in that range but I hit the mid 500's instead.
Other than that nothing to interesting other than some slight shuffling of the paint color popularity. Black took over the #4 spot from Racing Yellow. Yay.

Thanks again for putting in the effort!
Yes. Canadian cars seem to just be in the same VIN sequence as US so I am doing all NA. I am actually looking for VIN's from anywhere else in the world just to see what they look like.
