I think it's the same reason people cover their license plate in photos. Privacy concerns.

Yeah, it's not like no one can see your license plate when your driving around, lol! I'd think we'd have to worry most about the local freaks that might follow you home and jack your new car but I suppose the right Dr Evil could pry some personal info from just about anything. I haven't worried so far but hope I don't learn a hard lesson. With a tag and VIN exposed for all to see, how careful can one really be?

BTW, according to my 15 year old every one of our awesome / unobtanium / rockstar gt4 cars is already on Instagram, like 10 different times. You can't keep people from snapping parking lot pics and kids these days...

That's so true - I have been checking out #GT4 on IG. Every day, there are a dozen new pics.

First time ever Porsche buyer. Previously a prancing horse bigot/owner, but my son convinced me to look at a GT4 and, well, the rest is history...

Great work on the database GMAKI...mine is 197488, pretty sure I saw it in your file (MSRP 111,040).
Black and Gold...just like my STEELERS !

Yep that is you #509!

Edit: Your car was theoretically only 3 behind mine on the production line!

Living in LA I have no team, but since I spent some of my early years in Pittsburgh, the Steelers are my adopted team... to the extent I have one. I learned to waterski on the Monongahela!

It's funny when you said Prancing horse I thought of a Mustang. But that is because I just bought a 1965 Mustang for my son on Saturday.

I just updated the registry with all the latest VIN's. November was a very light month for production which brought my estimated total down significantly. Of course we know that production will probably ramp up in 2016. We shall see.

Is this list searchable? Can I search color, wheels, brakes, seats? (I apologize if this is basic.)

You can ctrl+f search it. If you look at the second tab there is all kinds of information summarized though which is probably more what you are looking for.

Did I miss mine, #191175. Out of the body shop 11/16. Just passed through the Panama Canal on the Rhea Leader today.

Nope, I did. I somehow missed 4 cars and yours was one of them. You are ID#918 now.

Thanks for the catch!

By the way what is your color?

#918. Funny. The reason I went with Birch Green was an Acid Green 918 sitting on the dealer's showroom.

Thanks again for all of your efforts on tracking these units.
