Default GT4 Owners -- Instrument Cluster Lighting?

Just out of total curiosity, I wanted to ask if existing owners could comment on their instrument cluster lighting color and variability. While watching the video below, the opening segment shows the amber hash marks and needles that I normally see, but at the 2:02 mark, those items are lit in red. The headlamps appear to be on in the former shot, but other videos show amber without the headlamps being on. Is this a setting that can be configured or does something toggle the switch from one to the other?

I think, given this video is a mishmash of some other videos as well, that there is variance in the lighting that makes the instruments appear to be a slightly different color but to my old eyes I do not see it from Amber to Red.

I don't see how lighting could change things to this degree, particularly since it appears to be very dark around both shots of the instrument cluster. But are we looking at the same thing? At 0:07, the hash marks around the speedo and the tach (except for the redline area) are all yellow/amber, and the needles on those dials are amber. At 2:02, all of those items are a bright, unquestionable red.

I can see the difference in your pictures. I highly doubt Porsche would offer such a stupid feature IMO. Like you see in Corvettes I believe and some other cars. Press the Sport button and the screen turns red!

I believe the GT4 tach comes like it is in your first picture.

Funny, the C7 Corvette was exactly what was on my mind too! The weird thing is that I found the red instrument cluster in a different video too, and the tach needle moves differently in that other video, so this doesn't appear to be some common footage from somewhere that was dropped into two separate videos. And I doubt the instrument cluster changes to red close to redline given that the needle is nowhere near redline in that shot or in other frames of those two videos. Strange....

In picture 1 you can see the headlights are on - in picture 2 they are off - so it is just the effect of the lighting on the gauges with the lights on or off - This has been the case on other Porsche's I have owned. Differnt look, lights on versus off.

I mentioned in the last sentence of my original post that I've found other videos showing the amber scheme while the lights are off, but now that I'm trying to find one, I'm coming up short. So this may be it after all.

Where are the lucky GT4 owners when you need them??

If I told you I was an owner but didn't have physical possession of the car would you believe it?

ED pickup date approaching.

I think these two videos were shot at different times.

Look at 330 mark on the speedo.

I am thinking the first pic with red and amber is a more accurate depiction of color.

Actually, it is a little known fact that the Instrument Cluster lighting is location specific, based on GPS input.

It is obvious to me that the lower picture is that of a car on European Delivery while driving in Amsterdam.

What does the "2" denote? Above the digital speedo display? Gear?

Interesting - I get it on my GSXR-1000, but does anyone shifting their own actuality look there instead of just feeling where the shifter is in the gate?

i take it you didn't see the configurator option that matches instrument back lighting to brake calipers, seat belts and deviated stitching on full leather options?

My biggest pet hate of automated shifters. What gear am I in. Love just being able to brush the gear stick to confirm my gear.
