^^ Exactly, I'm looking into a key fob type of override to keep them permanently open.
The exhaust button is completely useless.

That's easy! There are other systems on the market for cars without PSE that you can choose. We could order another button that calls your lawyer as you're getting pulled over or turn it into a smokescreen icon from Spy Hunter?!

The exhaust button is completely useless.

You can disconnect the vacuum line from the valves and plug it to prevent unfiltered air being sucked into the engine, and your valves will be permanently open. Several on this forum have done this mod with no ill effects, not that I've seen reported on here anyway.

This is a button that could be useful, unlike the PSE button

Right, I always drive "unplugged" but with the key fob you can keep it closed for blue tooth phone calls.

As long as you have valves might as well use them.

I have already The Ticket Clinic on speed dial LOL.
For the RS I'm thinking side muffler delete with valves and a steel GT3 OEM center muffler with a key fob thingy.

T-Design has a mod that can leave any button setting on at car startup.

NOT TRUE.

When someone starts acting up in my car, I point to the button and tell them I got the double-barrel shotgun option... and they start acting right, every time.

So far with just headers and exhaust there is a noticeable difference. Certainly liking the valveless exhaust though - no need for valves on this car
Hey Jimmy, did you get your plenum yet?

I'm aware of the vacuum line solution for keeping the exhaust always open in open mode, but is it possible to do something so the valves are always closed in closed mode?

Would require custom ECU programming, or a vacuum source you could control independently of the ECU to hold the valves closed on command.

Or just rig up a switch to apply 12 V to the OEM exhaust vacuum control solenoid that sits on the top of the engine.

I would not recommend running the valves in the closed position at all times with a factory PSE setup. The mufflers are quite restrictive, and Porsche has programmed them to open up at a certain RPM/Load to ensure there is not too much backpressure in the system when operating in the higher RPMs. If you want to operate an exhaust system in the higher RPMs that is quieter than valves open, I would recommend adding a set of turn downs to the exhaust tips for the track, or upgrading the factory PSE to a design that is going to be freer flowing in the valves closed position. I would be happy to chat about both options, just give me a ring/PM any time
