GT4 Review
Yep I'm sure there will be some midnight oil burning in Portugal tonight for the race to be first in regards to reviews. Just think of all the clicks on that first one. That's a big win for those journalists.
Yes I think a few people who haven't owned a porsche before, let alone a GT Porsche, might be surprised at the ride of this car. This won't be a great daily driver unless you live in newport beach and drive great roads everyday. I think even Porsche with that chart that Macca posted listed the GT4 as having a rougher ride than the GT3. Put this thing in sport suspension mode and be prepared to rattle some fillings
. As a weekend/track car this is exactly what I want.

I liked this quote:
Nice to see some real world color photos. GT Silver looks surprisingly good.
Were it a bowl of porridge, the GT4 might see Goldilocks pushing it away with a scalded mouth. Too hot! The GTS and S versions of the Cayman are a more perfect blend of track and street.

If you're going to make a track-focused version of what was already a sports car, there will be compromises. That is, unless the street car was just not that good to begin with.
Personally I don't need or even want a good all around go everywhere car. I want something much more focused. Yes, there are some bad roads around the DC area, but I just won't drive this car on those roads very often. That's what my DD Mercedes is for! (Or even the Panamera)
OTOH, if I was going to drive this around every day I'd get the GTS.

"on the track, the gt4 feels like it pulls with far more ferocity than a Carrera S"...
so that's nice to hear.
the claim that the "air blades" or the ram air covers over the air intakes add 10% more power doesn't add up though.

how much is that worth to you?.... woo--eeee... so nice.
"And yet, for the mere mortal, the GT4 is a willing dance partner. The six-speed manual gearbox requires perhaps a larger percentage of your attention than Porsche’s telepathic PDK, but that merely increases the level of involvement for the driver. A stick is an imperfect way of changing gears, but with the friendly and gruff little GT4’s quick and accurate shifter, it’s the exchange of a few accelerative tenths of a second for a lifetime of delight."
I hope so!
