Default GT4RS intake manifold retrofit

All the new videos coming out of the GT4RS make the intake sounds soooooo good I think the intake manifold plenum is separable from the runners so we don’t have to worry about the headache of retrofitting ITBs. We just need to buy the GT4RS plenum, side window ducts, and interior stuff just speculation

I’ll volunteer to make and sell “GT4 RS” badges to those who install this on their “base” GT4s.

Yep… I said this a while ago… center section looks like it might be same dimensions as with previous gen GT/718CS… so just the small challenge of obtaining 4RS center plenum and the rest of intake duct assembly.
I don’t think you’ll get the center plenum by itself… so you’ll end up with another set of runners.. which won’t fit in your car because they’ll be a bit shorter to accommodate the ITBs, that are in the 4RS and 992 GT3.

carbon rear airbox available too I think the intake runners have the ITBs. Maybe it is possible to just retrofit the GT4RS plenum onto 718 Clubsport IM runners

What would the window ducts connect to? I guess the throttle body would be relocated to the top of the plenum?

718 Clubsport for comparison

No way the juice is worth the squeeze on this. 4k for just the window scoops… Nope!

Glad I’m getting the real deal, makes 15k for the weissach look like a bargain

that’s a much better option over trying to retrofit the RS system

someone will create cheaper aftermarket versions. The benefit would be to keep it looking stock over the Clubsport solution.

I’m still willing to be the guinea pig if there is a website that sells the whole GT4RS intake set up I already have the 718 CS IM paired to my 4.5L conversion

How would that work with the RS intake that goes in from the top?

I suspect that the guess is that the middle piece of the GT4 RS plenum with the differently placed throttle will connect to the GT4 RS runners. NO doubt someone (BGB maybe who own and race an RS) will be able to check this easily but then will need testing and tuning. looks an expensive mod.....but if you'vve already done a 4.5 who cares !

the plenum and runners can be disconnected. So the plenum can be GT4RS and runners can be 718 CS

It looks like the RS plenum is possibly divided so each TB goes into a single runner, and the RS plenum will have another TB hole in it that would have to be plugged.

@BGB Motorsports makes an aftermarket GT4RS style intake ... very pricey but beautiful: https://teambgb.com/pages/carbon-fib...ke-kit-981-718
