Using the stock calibration that came with my brand new controller as a base, these are the "Sport" settings changes I made to daily:

GForce: G Comfort "Default Rate" = 5.0, Offset = 30.0 (not changed from orig. file), Sensitivity = 15 (not changed), G-Rate Max = 20.0 (not changed)

Shock Calibration (0%-100%): Front = 1300 - 300, Rear = 1400 - 600

Velocity:
Front - Comp High/Med/Low = 3.0/3.0/3.0 Reb Low/Med/High = 3.0/3.0/5.0
Rear - Comp High/Med/Low = -15.0/-4.0/-2.0 Reb Low/Med/High = 2.0/3.0/6.0

With these settings, I no longer want to install the firmer springs. "I feel" its a good balance of being able to take off all the abrasiveness out of harsh bumps, gets rid of "floaty-ness" and front end flutter/lift, balances front and rear reactions to road imperfections, and still feels firm enough to feel "sportier than stock". As always, YMMV.

If anyone wants the full file, to ensure continuity, let me know.

I'm interested in the full file; trying to get my 718 GT4 to be less "bouncy" over minor ripples; acts like its on a washboard; almost seems to exaggerate minor road issues.

TIA

Yeah, I had that. However one caveat is that I'm not sure how these settings will translate to the 718. That said, in general, the basic direction of the changes should apply. You may need to tweak values to your liking. The over setup makes driving over bumps more compliant, and the dampers compress more, and it reduces rebound speed to minimize that lifting action when coming out of dips. Overall ride is just more composed.
Let me know if the DL link doesn't work. I'm not good with google.

I understand the caveat but figure your settings get me headed in the right direction. No problems with the download.

Many thanks!

Got a little more time in with that last setup. Needs a little more work on the rear for bumpy tight corners. Rear hops sometimes and loses traction. Maybe loosen up rear rebound some. But overall, I'd still firm it up a little more from where it is now.

Thanks for all the work. Are you using this file in the "sport" setting? or normal? are you using it for daily driving or track only? what have you found the best two setups to be to load in normal and sport? thanks

Only using Sport, for daily/spirited driving (suburb/country roads/hwy/bltwy), on pot-holed,, cracked, rippled pavement. Once I get a good baseline for car's overall behavior, I'll just shift the Shock Calibration range over, to soften things up, for "Normal".

My main goals are/were:

1. Reduce eliminate chassis (cabin) from "bucking/jostling", and lifting, when going over wavy pavement "at speed". Basically just mellow the car out over bumps and imperfections.

2. Gain some balance with the front and rear so they behave similarly over imperfections.

3. Gain more compliance over hard strikes...mostly in the rear.

4. Reduce the amount of time the suspension needs to deal with an event.

Just got back from same route where I was having new problems in the rear, and wound up just zeroing out the rear Velocity settings for Compression, while keeping same values from my other changes. Seems to have done the trick, but feels a little squishy still. Once compressed, rear stays squatted a little too long for me. I may just drop the starting value of the rear Shock Calibration range and call it a day...don't have much time left with the car.

Great work on the custom tuning! Love it when a user takes advantage of the tuning software.

Wanted to point out that the reason for the standard DSC file’s higher rear rebound values in Sport mode are specifically for stabilizing the rear end of the car on race tracks with higher speed braking zones.

Solid copy Tom. Thanks for the insight. I tried keeping a similar Rebound Velocity "curve" as the stock file.

Hi Colnago,

just recently installed the DSC and used your mapping for reference.

Just to check why dont you use the maximum value for shock calibration? ie. 1900 - 500?

I'm assuming that under the Velocity Tab:
Front - Comp High/Med/Low = 3.0/3.0/3.0 Reb Low/Med/High = 3.0/3.0/5.0
Rear - Comp High/Med/Low = -15.0/-4.0/-2.0 Reb Low/Med/High = 2.0/3.0/6.0

front 3% is 3% more than absolute soft? ~ 1300 - (3%)
and -15% is -15% is softer from the ~1400 + (-15%)

Full soft (1650mA for 981) is too soft "for me".
