Putting yourself on a list to pay someone MSRP or more is a pointless activity. I still don't get it. You can simply watch it happen and then 14 months later pay less to the guy that wants to get on another list to drive off in the last one for which he paid too much money.

Aside from the obvious not wanting to wait 14 months, I don't want a silver or white car with 30k worth of pointless options. That, is the typical used GT car nowadays.

If they are options they are likely all useless. If it were useful it would be standard.

Riiiight...because everyone that flips their GT cars for the next shiny thing always sells below MSRP.

Just like how the watch forums are littered with people dumping their ceramic Daytonas for $10k because they picked up a Pepsi

It happens...

But all you have to do is look around to see that 2 year old GT cars aren't scarce. They aren't like finding chicken teeth or unicorn tears.

Ok. Apples and oranges. Spec and buy a car at MSRP or buy a used car later. Pretty simple to understand.

Thats what I see in my market and they aren't moving even after price drops........(both 991.1/.2 GT3 and 981 GT4 plus 991.1 GT3).

Groundhog are you in the UK ? I’ve been tracking dealer GT4s only and some PistonHeads cars. Agree there is are lots of Yellow cara asking small premium to Msrp on dealers forecourts but things at the 73-80k level seem to be moving. About 15 cars in approved site until yesterday, right now 19, peaked at 22. I have only watched since October last year.

so looks like there is liquidity but I agree there is plenty of choice too.

It still gives you the option to decide whether the asking price is worth it to you for a configurable allocation. It's a no cost option to purchase a car. How is that a bad thing? How are you better off if you're not on any list and have to just play dialing for dollars once the car is released? Which has a better chance of getting you a car?

Not being on a list is worse than being on one but not by much, and that diff keeps getting smaller.

People who wanted a configurable allocation for the last GT4 and GT3 and GT3RS and GT2RS but couldn't get one would beg to differ. And there were a lot of them.

While we wait for more GT4 rumors to surface....... I’m not sure if this adds much to the “list” discussion, but I was on a “MSRP list” at my local dealer for the 991.2 GT3. Was promised an allocation in writing too from the GM; well as it turns out ALL of their GT3 allocations not sold to VIPs or “influencers” were sold with ADMs. I got absolutely nothing.

Now I’m looking in the used Canadian market and asking prices are OVER MSRP for fully loaded $220-$230K cars. Are there a lot of used options..... oh yes, but it would have been actually less expensive for me to just pay $10-$15K ADM and spec the car how I want.

So now I’m in the GT4 forums because I don’t want a fully loaded used GT3 and my wonderful dealership promised me an actual configurable GT4 allocation for $10K ADM. I took the deal and will spec the car I want.

For the record, I absolutely hate the ADM game, but what options do I have? I tried the MSRP only route and failed. I’d rather pay extra & have European delivery on a car I specced exactly how I want instead of buying second hand and compromising. Just my 2c......

PS: Any more GT4 release date information? Now it sounds like the Geneva unveiling is in question/doubtful?
