Default Considering a CPOed Cayenne GTS and need advice/help.

There's a CPOed '10 CGTS at Ira Porsche that I'm interested in and I need some help please.

1. I'm in SoCal and have no experience with this dealer in MA. Is there a sales person at Ira Porsche whom you'd recommend that I contact?
2. Any recommendation for an independent shop in the area to do a PPI?
3. About how much would transporting the vechicle cost?
4. Any advice on purchasing a vehicle sight-unseen?

Thank you.

Doug

1/2. I have no prior experience with them but 1000% suggest an independent PPI
3. I shipped my Turbo from LA to NJ, enclosed via intercity for $1750.
4. Im not a fan of buying sight unseen. If I could have found one locally, I would have. Maybe on something so late model it might be a safer bet. My car was fine but did need alot of routine maintence. I should have flown there first but it worked out in the end.

Doug,

Intercity Lines deals a lot with Ira Porsche, in fact we deliver all their new vehicles to them, ask for Chris Husband he is the sales manager and is really good to deal with. Our rate to move the GTS from MA to S. CA will be $1995 and include your Rennlist discount. If we can help you with your move please let us know.

Thanks,
Jim

1. Never deal with Ira Porsche so I have no recommendation there
2. If it is a CPO car, what are you looking to get out of a PPI provided that you can verify that routine maintenance has been performed as required? Maybe just have someone from a local body shop check on potential accident history?
3. I'd recommend Intercity
4. a) Get a copy of the all the maintenance records and the title b) have someone in the area have a quick look for you to verify the general condition c) put down a deposit to get the car off the market that is refundable subject to an inspection d) maybe have a body shop in the area dispatch someone with a paint gauge to check for any accident damage e) if everything checks out, pay for the balance of the purchase price and have your baby picked up

Thanks Randy.

I had searched on a little and found forum members recommended the following shops. Thought I'd post them up in case others need the info (in no particular order).

1. http://epe.com/contact-us.html
2. http://www.porschenashua.com/index.htm
3. http://www.autosportengineering.com/
4. http://www.primeporsche.com/index.htm
