Post Who said life begins at 40?

Hi, seeing that it's my 40th birthday this year (I hate to admit that!), I'm trying to get hold of a Porsche sales poster from the 1990s featuring a 993 and the slogan 'Who said life begins at 40?'

Any pointers much appreciated.

Cheers

Phil

Only thing I can think of is do a search on Google or similar for "Porsche Posters"...you just might find the one you're looking for

Have you tried Porsche GB or AFN (owned by Porsche GB)? If they can't help you could try asking them who the Ad agency was and keep knocking on the door until they help.....

Hi Phil,

I'm in the same unenviable position as you (it's September for me) this year.
Never seen or heard of the poster/advert you mention but it'd be a nice momento for me as well, especially as I run a 993 as in the poster. I've spent a couple of hours on the internet searching for it to no avail.
Please post back here if you track it down and I'll do likewise if I manage to.

Cheers

Hi Mark

Guess that makes you the youngster. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

I've let you know if I track any down.

Cheers

Phil

BTW. The OPC was at Northampton, in the sales office - if you're ever near there, pop in and take a look.

That'll be Arlington of Northampton then...

I'm going to Bruntingthorpe with the 993 register on a VMAX quest on Saturday, so I may be able to pop into Arlington on the way back as it's just of the M1.

Mark, you old git <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

And I thought you had only just left school ! lol
(I can talk - my turn next year...)

I have bought a lot from Gmund in the past, and they are good people to deal with.
The other option is to see if you can't find a page sized advert in a mid 90s magazine.

How about a scan of ebay, or a post in the porsche club mag in the wanted section...

There was a web site posted on the 993 forum some time last year that had a lot of the posters available for order. If your clever you may be able to do a screen shot (I don't want to be slammed for copyright discussions here - if you do it, it is your choice).

I scanned Ebay and did not find this particular poster. However there is a guy on there that has about every other 993 advertisement from the 90's you may contact him directly and see if he can get it.

Oi Webster you cheeky young scamp, show some respect for your elders

I've tried <a href="http://www.makebigdaddyrich.com" target="_blank">www.makebigdaddyrich.com</a> as well, they have hundreds of Porsche posters but no sign of "... life begins at 40".

I suspect Phil's contacts via the magazine will have the best chance of locating it through Gmund so I'll keep looking elsewhere.

I'll have a thumb through my collection of '90's magazines (no the car one's ) to see if I can find it.
