Sorry, no Stuttgart machines in my garage, but I follow the sport as quite a motorhead and have been around Porsche's most my life. My best friend (RIP Ryke) was a serious Porsche-phile so I know a bit about them too. Watched Ickx get second after transaxle issues (was bummed) in person at LeMans in 1980.....

I saw a thread before I registered asking about Harding Steel Garage lifts. Now that I'm registered, I can't find it. Thought I'd throw some pics of mine out there....I believe the basic lift retails around 10K although I don't know for certain since I got a deal from a distributor on their demo unit. Last guy I gabbed with was considering one for $8500 and I told him I would have considered paying that knowing what I do now. Excellent lift, not for maintenance though. All I wanted was to increase storage capacity....

My garage and lift.....

This pic isn't the final configuration, just a quick shot that does well at showing the lift itself. These work good for standard garages with standard doors. No posts to deal with....

The Sunbeam is above the Esprit in this shot:

Nice looking garages people...and toys too! Keep the photos coming...

Rodewaryer - Interesting set up you have. I am thinking of going this route and looking for a simple yet sturdy lift to house the smaller car without having to modify the garage existing structure. What's your experience with this type of lift- how did you end up with this type? Your thoughts and others who have had experiences with compact lifts with recommendations are appreciated...

Photos are more of the car than the shop, they were for my log book.

Thanks 'Overdraft' but if you saw it up close you'd see the imperfections. It's far from being perfect, it's my Auto X, DE/TT car and has it's injuries to show. I do like to care my possessions, so I try to take care of the finish.

I didn't go shopping. I had storage issues and through someone I knew that was shutting down a Potomac Garage solutions store, long story short, the lift more or less landed in my lap. Weird thing is, they should be way more common from the company's experience yet I've never seen another one in a forum.

It keeps things well away from the door, that's for sure. For anyone wanting to do maintenance it's a deal breaker though, it's just not possible. That was never the intention with the Harding Steel unit. Their deal is storage solutions, and do they ever do that.....

Here is my garage. The shot is not great, but I just brought home my new to me 944, and had to snap a pic of it in the garage. That is also why the 944 is so dirty. I hate buying cars in the middle of winter.
