I agree that based on this measure the SUV is fast. The 1960 s muscle cars also did very well. The problem is that passed 120 km - h things change, fast... The first curve will result in a much different result.

I've never seen a dragster take a curve.

SUV makers know that this demonstration makes their buyers happy.

No info on which engine is used in the Hyundai it is also against a base boxster and who was performing the test. IS PSM on or off + 100 other ??'s. Besides lets see that thing turn. No matter what it does from 0-60 its still a POS Hyundai and you can never compare it to a Porsche.

I am sure those that spend their $40k on them will feel they have something of value. But I would bet that very few V8's will sell to the Hyundai crowd. If a Hyundai owner is foolish enough to try to race me in my Pepper I would be happy to show them what German Engineering is all about.

Not exactly high up in the HP department...that is reserved for the Carreras.
Good handling though......I wonder if the Hyundai would be the Boxster in a slalom?

Do you like to repeat yourself? What is the issue there are many cars faster than Porsche's slowest sports car model. Fast 0-60 means little unless you think racing from a street light makes you have a big one. Many cars that are fast from 0-60 die out from 60-70 or aren't to fast in a 1/4 mile. How does the Hyundai do from 60-130? Can it even do 130? We are not impressed here with a fast Hyundai that nobody will buy and looks like an E class MB.

Put The Stig in a Boxster and a Genesis at WGI and then wait and see which is faster.

It's not an SUV but I can see why you might think so from that video.

Looks like a nice car for the money, but testing it against a Boxster is just dumb. If that's their marketing department at work they've completely missed the boat.

Silly comparison, although I must admit that I sat next to a Genesis at a traffic light for some time yesterday and it's a good looking car...albeit it's still a Hyundai.

Anthony....since this is a silly thread by a lurker I don't feel too bad hi-jacking....how'd you make out with the trailer lights? Hope all's well !

Easy fix just took some time to figure out. Somehow one of the wires wore through at the trailer and created a short.
