Just a curiosity question for you current (and past) Porsche owners. If you live in an area that actually gets snow during the winter months, especially if you commute a fair distance for work each day, what do you drive?
Do you drive your Porsche year round? Do you have another Porsche for the winter and one for the fair weather? SUV? Turck? Actual winter beater?
Just kind of curious.

I own a only a Porsche, no 2nd car. It's a 964 C4. I drive all year long, and there sometime a lot of snow, specially this saison. Also I take my car for driving to skiing holidays with tmy wife and the equipment. Prepare my car for winter driving every Ocotber or so, that means, winter tyres, ice-sray, (hope it's would be know what I mean). Drive (only) approx 10.000 km a year, not every day, but every weekend.

I use my C4S all year round...
I have a Mk3 Golf GTI as a more user friendly car...but it's so heavily modified that it's next to useless in snow (very low & stiff and on wider tyres)...so as long as I can get any grip at all, I have a choice of two non-too-suitable vehicles for snow use.
The C4S get's plenty of use...on standard road tyres too...

Used my 1984 3.2 Carrera every day for 18 months, then used my 993 for 2 years every day, until after TOO many white knuckle, sideways moments on the way to the office, i gave in and bought a 1996 Golf VR6 just for the winter months - no longer do i anxiously scan the weather reports anymore, no longer do i nervously peek out the window in the morning during the winter months, no longer do i arrive at work to have collegues ask "are you ok - you look a little pale.........."

911 year round, rain and snow. I bought it to drive. Now a neighbor of mine has 2 911's (964 cab and 996 C2) that he will not allow to get wet. Well, each to their own.
