Pre-signing
My 911 arrives soon and the dealer is asking if I can come in to pre-sign the paperwork to get it out of the way before it arrives.
Normally I would want to inspect the car before signing, while I still have some leverage.
Is this a standard practice at Porsche? Is it a bad idea?

I wouldn't sign. I've heard of cars coming in with damage and seen cars come in with the wrong transmission.

Why complicate your purchase by adding that issue to the deal. I would not pre-sign; see the car in person, inspect and if all is good, then do the paperwork.

When I bought my TTS last year I had the dealer send me all the docs to review before I signed. I found a $5,000 error when I did all the numbers. After it was corrected It wasn't done intentionally, I went to pick up my car checked it out. Signed all the docs handed him a check and was done in 30 min. Don't sign anything before you see the car.
