I got a subscription with each Boxster I purchased at the dealership. But I have to admit I've never re-newed. Just not worth it to me. Sure has a lot of perty pages, though...

I just bought a new Boxster 550 this week. Will I automatically receive Christophourus? Although this is my 4th Porsche, the last 2 were purchased used so I wasn't sure.

Is Christophourus available at book stores or anywhere?

Charlie.......
Back in the "old days" if you bought a new Porsche you would receive a one year sub to Christo. Now it's pretty much a dealership thing, some do, some don't. I have had a subscription for 30 some years now and I think it's a great mag. Some of the late 50's Christo's are going for 300 bucks on Ebay.
You can find out how to subscribe at your dealership or
Porsche Christophorus
Abonnement Service
Porscheplatz 1
70435 Stuttgart, Germany

or
http://www.us.porsche.com/english/us.../christophorus

The last new Porsche I bought (leased, actually) was back in 1987, but the used 911 I bought a couple years ago was so clean maybe they considered it as good as new, 'cuz shortly after that I started getting Christophorus in the mail.

Sure was pretty - I saved every copy. But the only magazine I actually pay money to receive these days is AutoWeek.

From time to time I get free copy's don't know why (I do accept free Porsche stuff). I have owned 7 911's in the last 30 years and I've always filled out the ownership change card in the owners book and sent that in.

Copy No 1 (in German - 1952) fetched an amazing 6500 Euros last year. Interstingly Porsche AG Archive does not have a full set in English.

My favourites are the late '60s early '70 - the covers just blow the mind. It's hard to believe that such expression is now so stereotyped.

Hello Everyone...

OK, so do you ever have one of those moments when you want to boast, but then you think - nah, bad taste, then suddenly you do it anyway...

Hehe... well, this is one of those moments for me

Christophorus 306, Feb/March 2004 - check out the insert between pages 50 and 51, 'Porsche in Australia'. Last Page. Top Left hand photo... the gal in the pink pants... she's my gal!!

My car was part of the official 40 year parade, representing 1991.

Of course, I now have to put up with my wife teasing me that I am such an enthusiast, and my car is kept polished and cleaned.... and SHE made the mag!!!

*sigh* - what we go through to keep them happy

Here's a pic of the car at the parade... just to make sure it's happy too

I just received my very first copy of it and I find it interesting (John D.) got free with the small purchase of my new GT3.
