Never mind, user error! I had a wrong patch on the SD card. My version was different than K5186, so the patch was never installed. Once I corrected the patch, everything was installed successfully. I have working CarPlay and Maps!

The time is off after the flash on the Chrono. It always reverts back to the Pacific time after correction. Any ideas?

Does your nav system (from the internal nav unit, not carplay) work correctly and show the current location?
My Cayenne has an Automatic Time toggle in the instrument cluster Settings Date/Time menu (accessible from the steering wheel). With that enabled, it should use GPS to set the time and time zone.

Hi All, need some advise from experts here.
I'm currently in Asia (Singapore, Right Hand Drive) looking to take delivery of an imported 2018 718 Boxster.
Aim is to enable wired android auto.
Current:
Software version: MHI2_ER_POG11_P4172 1119
Hardware version: 054
Navigation Database: V03959802HK 0068 ROW 2018
Gracenote version: Region=EUROPE - Version=16
Media Driver version: CLU8_MMX2_PAG_ER_G11_133PROD-1
Phone Driver version: 10.593.998
From the research it seems the updates steps as follows:
1)download MHI2_ER_POG11_K5126_1_AIO_MU1394
from MIB solution
2) put on SD card and follow video
sorry for my ignorance. alot of the literature seems related to flashing the US version.
I would think attempting flashing a firmware of different region is recipe for disaster.
what im not sure is this the correct firmware to use? im under the impression that i should look for an "AIO" version

You can get the AIO from here:
https://mibsolution.one/#/1/9/MHI2%2...rmware/Porsche
I put my experiences in here from when I did this update on our 2017 Cayenne S: https://www.planet-9.com/threads/por...tes-etc.254283

So i finally took delivery of a 2020 718 Boxster
Came with MHI2_ER_POG11_P5176 1452
and no navigation (bummer). im guessing no GPS module as well though i haven't checked.
Thus my journey to get android auto on it.
While the online tutorials for the AIO US version PCM are solid, there's no AIO equivalent for ER version P5176. I understand there is a AIO ER K5126 around, i wasn't sure of the side effects of using a different (older) version than the one the car came with.
i figured the below guide works for anyone who wants to stick to same firmware version that came with the car but yet wants nav/map/androidauto/carplay. (since MIBSolution pratically every version patched)
What I did:
1) Download More incredible bash (MIB).
https://github.com/Mr-MIBonk/M.I.B._...ncredible-Bash
2) Download MHI2_ER_POG11_P5176_MU1452_PATCH into the patch folder
of MIB.
file from MIBsolution. M.I.B ->20230926_M.I.B_Patches
mibsolution seems to be having hosting issues. pls donate to support
you should use the version that matches your PCM unit.
3) put everything on SD card
4) install MIB:
insert into left SD slot.
Pres hold (car + media), select update software
just hit next on everything else, didnt change any option
5) once installation is complete and back on home
6) reboot PCM (i stopped and restarted engine)
7) get into GEM menu via press hold (car+tuner)
from here everything else is basically selections in the GEM menus
8a) m.i.b->backup_restore->backup
in case i screw up
8b) SVM fix:
m.i.b->advanced settings->FIX SVM Error
im told this prevents pesky porsche techs from knowing i messed with the pcm and attempt to void my warranty. idiots.
8c)enable map/nav:
m.i.b->patch_ifs_root_aio->add_feccontainer->add new Fecs to FecConatainer.fec
this enables nav,map feature
8d) enable carplay/AA
m.i.b->patch_ifs_root_aio->carplay_activation->carplay & android auto activation
Yes, android auto finally.
8e) m.i.b->multimedia_system->porsche->pog11->enable AA button
this fixes the android auto icon that's messed up if u dun do this.
personally i haven't done this
other notes:
i would reccomend to do this in order. i sorta did stuff out of order and had to redo some of the steps in 8a-e to get it going.
it's ok if the PCM auto reboots inbetween.

just this will do,
the original above seems to somehow have forgotten itself the next day. so i had to reapply patch
