PCM4 - MIB2 - MHI2_ER_POG11 & POG24 - FW update & patch - navigation activation

I finally got this figured out. I had to use 7 zip to unzip the patch folder into the MIB patches folder. Then I had to rename the folder to change the name of my firmware patch folder from K3300 to P3300. Once I reran the AIO patch everything finally worked.

Hello folks and happy new year to all of you.
I need AA on my 2017 Macan and therefore I am considering installing the patched FW. I've tried to document myself as much as I can but still have some doubts so appreciate your advice and feedback.
My Macan has the Bose sound system, so my main concern is to make sure I do not end up with no sound after the process.
If I understood correctly there are two ways of doing it:
1. Install MIB from https://github.com/Mr-MIBonk/M.I.B._...ncredible-Bash and then go in the MIB "green menu" select the AIO patch.
2. Install through the AIO pre-packaged FW maintained here: https://github.com/harman-f/MHI2_MIB...pdate_Template
Although the second option specifically mentions that Bose is not updated there is no indication regarding Bose in the MIB install instructions. Are both options equally safe?
Next question: my current FW vesion is MHI2_ER_POG11_P3299_MU0807. Unfortunately there is no pre-packaged AIO for tha FW version in harman-f github. But the patched firmware does exist. What is the procedure to customize the template for my particular firmware?
Thanks for your help.

What I have is a 2017 Cayenne, but I imagine it will be the same system.
Did you finally install the M.I.B. version on yours? in case you could tell me what the exact procedure you used was, since I also have a BOSE system and I didn't want anything to fail when updating.
I also have some doubts about the GPS antenna, since I don't know when to install an extra antenna.
thank you so much

Curious if anyone else is having this "problem"... I have a 2017 Cayenne that I just updated to the K5186 AIO firmware last week, I had P3300 previously. On occasion, my CarPlay will just decide that it doesn't want to start anymore. The phone is charging so I know it's not a USB issue and while I reformatted the SD card to upgrade the maps, while I still had access to the GEM, I was able to force a reboot (only tried once) and was able to get CarPlay working again.
Has anyone else had this CarPlay issue?
My MAIN reason up upgrading the firmware was just to have the volume indicator and I saw the dual navigation option under the MIB menu and was hoping to try that out, but the GEM in mine doesn't have that. I think it's on 4.04 vs 4.12, very odd. Any thoughts on that as well?

So, when I ended up putting the SD card back in I had downloaded the patch and made sure it was there… all the numbers appeared to be the same, but the patch still ran. Seems to have fixed all the problems I was having and also updated the GEM to 4.14, but still can’t get/find the dual navigation option, so maybe it was removed 🤷🏼♂️

I'm not exactly sure; the only difference was adding the Patch folder onto the SD card and making sure the K1586 patch was loaded, everything else was the same. What's interesting though is the patch script matches the original file script, so I'm not even sure what's changing in the background.
All I can say is if anyone else experiences the same or similar problems, try making sure to get the patch and load it onto the SD card.

Why update the with AIO and not the classic way via MIB and patches folder since AIO is not the latest firmware?
Also if I update, will Porsche connected services continue to work or do I have to register again with Porsche dealership via PIWIS?
Regarding BOSE, one option is to choose not to update. The other option if I update I will have no sound. In order to get sound back do I need to just recode with PIWIS or something else is needed?
Thanks!

I followed the instructions in the Wiki to complete installation for MHI2_US_POG11_K5186_1_MU1476_PATCH. Everything went smoothly, however, I see no CarPlay/Nav icons. If I plug in my phone via glovebox USB, the phone is not being recognized.
