This has been previously discussed to death. It is doubtful anything will change. The threat from Trump is real, but simply a bargaining chip. Being the largest consumer in the world, there is legitimate pull from the American consumer.

He’s needs an economics class .....cars will pile up not sure who will pay a 40k tax on a 200k car. Guess the ADM’s will go alway, but for MSRP guys it’s a tax on a tax state plus tariff. Would make sense to buy used tariffs hits the first sale not resale. Foreign car manufactures have too much to risk for that to happen in my view, plus too many jobs in the US BMW, Mercedes.

Have been wondering what everyone's thoughts are concerning the possibility that the US could impose increased tariffs on cars coming from the EU in the near future. Mexico, Canada and next will be Europe and we'll see who buckles under the pressure to level the playing field. For those of us that have cars allocated and being built this year and delivery in 2019 I'm wondering if we'd still want the cars at say, a 25% tariff? I'm guessing it won't be this dramatic but who knows. Spoke to a dealer GM today and he said it would actually help his sales and make the cars more "exclusive"......don't quite follow that logic. Doesn't work that way in my business. Thoughts?
he may have gotten to the highest position he will ever attain. I don’t think he will be driving the next 918.

No automobile manufacturer would pass along a tariff and they would eat it so don't worry about it.
