I am seventyone, my firrst Porsche was a 1969 911T back in the 1970's, got married and had to sell it to buy my first house. Built a replica 356 in the 80's currently have Porsche 996 that I do track events with and love it.

I am 64 and bought my first and second Porsche last year. My crystal ball says there are more to come my way. I just am not sure why I waited so long
My first Porsche is a 2016 Cayman S and second is a 2011 911 Carrera.

Thank you all for replying, we have some interesting connections, I suspect many more surfing. Other than being mature & enjoying P-cars, a few observations:
bkrantz, enjoying 7 p-cars, S.W. Colorado. I am just no. of Ft. Collins. Had a beautiful trip to Telluride in Oct. Lived in F.Play Co. for a bit. A beautiful state, wonderful P-car mt. roads.
Points, on to #7 also, so, kind of normal. I spend some winters in Ormond Beach, love the ocean, Thanks , good luck on #7.
GreginNH, also 7 P-cars. I love N.H., Lived near Killington Vt. for years, went to college in N.H. Still can't believe the Old Man in the Mt. collapsed. First D.E. @ NHIS. N.E.has best foliage, anywhere. Rockies beautiful golden Aspens, #2
Jnelso still on the track, love it. Got to know Dick Horan, Precision Imports, Manchester, N.H. Great Mech.enjoy.
Walkthedog, maybe a 991-tts in your crystal ball? Go for it.
Thanks so much, from N.H. to Co. and? Be Safe, very interesting, a lot in common. Wishing you all good health, enjoying P-cars, pullover

drabe - 61, still instruct, best of two worlds, 991.1GT3 & Viper ACR. 8 P-cars in 61yrs.,well done. Instructed during 90's when large PCA regions in N.E.were loaded with RED run groups instructors, sometimes we had 3 students, one guy took on 4 one day, ended up not even driving his own car. PCA racing started, things changed, Instructors went racing. Between 8 Seniors replying, we have owned 50+ P-cars. Porsche should donate a unit for us. GT2-RS? Thanks! Be ssfe, stay healthy!

Thats great Jim, never had a 356, oldest was 1970 911T. I have driven a few, friend loaned me a cab. My wife even enjoyed it. Top down, didn't want to return it. Perhaps you could share region you are in, any advice on purchase & Sr. maint. Private message is OK also. I find a good 356 on the correct road is so pure and original. A machine you don't have to go fast to enjoy.
Thanks for sharing your story. Stay healthy & safe.

Pullover: Thanks for your nice comment. Not too much of a story. Drove a friend's 356 in 1972 and decided that I REALLY needed one. Found my 1963B a year later being sold locally. Have owned and enjoyed it since. When I bought it it had about 90,000 original miles. Originally sold in New Mexico and was free of rust, except for the battery box. Had the battery box replaced and the motor rebuilt at about 93,000 miles. Car now has about 135,000 miles and is an absolute delight. Never fails to get comments/thumbs up when I take it out for a fun-run. In my 60s some life changes came along and I decided that if one Porsche was good then two would be great. Bought a 1986 Carrera and enjoyed it for a few years. Beautiful car and I loved the visual design of the sweeping rear windows. The Carrera was a whole different driving experience from the 356. Both enjoyable, just different. After I sold the 1986, seller's remorse set in as I missed being able to admire the two cars together sitting in my garage. So, I went on the hunt for a Carrera with the G50 transmission. Located a great 1987 with about 62,000 miles. Great car which has shared garage space with the 356 for the past years.
