F.S. 928 GTS 5-speed Sold 9-26-11 Sold
I am selling this 1993 GTS 5-speed for a customer of mine. Guards Red on black with 92,xxx miles. The car is in fantastic shape and mechanically does not need anything in the near future. Interior condition is a 9 out of 10. No cracking of the dash or pod or center console. The drivers seat does have slight scuffing from 18 years of use. In the rear hatch area, the took kit is present and an after market stereo has been tastefully installed. The air conditioning is fantastic and blows cold even in North Texas summer heat. All electrics do work, including the rear hatch release. The car also has the factory Sport suspension, the shocks are in fantastic shape.
I have been the primary caretaker for the car the last 4 years, and a short list of what has been done are:
Annual oil changes, bi-annual brake and coolant changes. Oil consumption has not been a major issue on this car, 1/2 a quart every 1000-1500 miles.
Timing belt/water pump, motor mounts/pan gasket, alignment, oil/filter change done in April of this year, 2011.
In January of 2009 a rebuilt PSD unit was installed and bled the proper way. Brakes bled, door hinge (drivers) replaced, passenger side ABS sensor replaced and the rest pulled and cleaned. RDK system was bypassed but the wheels/sensors/control unit are still installed. A leak down test was performed and all with in spec, and new plugs installed at same time.
In June of 2009 the intake was removed and refurbished, injectors were tested as good and new seals installed, new fuel hoses, knock sensors, hoses and gaskets were replaced. The high pressure A/C hose was replaced with a new drier, seals, vacuumed and recharged, still great in 2011.
Exterior the car is an 8 of 10. The paint appears to be original and has a few nicks and scrapes and pictures are attached of those areas. This is a rub strip delete car with sunroof. The driver front wheel was sent off to be refinished due to curb rash.
I am open for questions and have many more pictures than are posted here. Feel free to ask here, or e-mail me at Sean@928docs.com.
Asking price is $33,999.

Beautiful car and worth every penny, IMHO. Buyers need to realize it's very easy to drop $5-10K into one of these if significant maintenance items have been deferred (timing belt/H2O pump, motor mounts, shocks, intake refresh, etc), especially if you're not doing the work yourself. For a no-rub strip 5-speed GTS (both features being very rare) with all maintenance up to date, the price is very reasonable. GLWS!

Interesting interior Sean - looks like full leather except the dash and instrument pod?
No pics of the door handles tho' - but the rear quarters, armrest, driver's knee pad and rear console are all leather, so probably the doors, headliner, apillars etc. are too?
