To wrap, or not to wrap, that is the question...
For those that have done ED, is wrapping the front end a must while in Germany? Should I be concerned about rock chips etc?
TIA,

I ended-up with several small chips in my windshield and nothing but bug guts on the paint. Wrap wouldn't have helped me.
See thread about wrapping after pickup. Next time I will seriously consider that (even though it ain't gonna help the windshield.)

The factory can now do it! I received an email from Jamie yesterday. As soon as we take delivery, they will facility the install there. So, we will go sightseeing for a while and return to grab the car in the am.
I received a note from a fellow ED CC owner that put 5k on his car during his 3 weeks in Europe, and he had quite a few chips on the hood.
That said, I am not taking any chances...

That's a great option! I'm already enroute and my delivery date/travel is planned to the minute so I'm going to just have to keep ALOT of distance my 911 and the cars/trucks in front of me

It's wrapped right after completion, therefore a quick wash will most likely take place. They have a 3rd party provider come in to do this process. It's a wet application and takes a full day to dry. I will know more in 5 hours when I get to the delivery centre.

Awesome please let me know. Is it a clear bra?

Clear bra, 3M film. Nice job. The guys in Leipzig have OCD. You need to arrange this plenty of time in advance to ensure the timing works out.
Cost was less than aftermarket sales at a dealership...
And I'm glad I did it. The car got hit by a rock 1 hour into the drive... Unscathed and no Damage!!!

The wrap on the hood is great! And I am glad I had it installed. About an hour after pickup, I got peppered on a secondary road by some rocks. No marks. My only issue that I have is with the bumper. There is some crackling and bunching...

JAM, wrapping for ED is definitely the way to go. What would you do differently if you did it over?
Also, did you have a choice of wrap (eg, 3M vs Xpel)? Did you paint correct prior or nano spray the wrap after?

No choice and no extra time for the extra "detailing process". It was enough for me to get on the road without worrying about chips. That was my biggest concern. Everything else can be done in the USA, where if something is needed for touch ups, it's easier than sending the car back to Germany.

Makes perfectly good sense. A few Qs:
1. Who did the wrap?
2. How much of the car was wrapped?
3. Suntek or Xpel?
4. What was the cost?
5. Do you miss not doing paint correction?
Thanks for sharing!
